Race for #1 after AO

With AO 22 points dropped

Carlos Alcaraz 6730
Casper Ruud 5720 (must reach final and hope if he loses it's not to Tsitsipas)
Novak Djokovic 5070 (must win)
Stefanos Tsitsipas 4995 (must win)

Now when Ruud is in Novak's half it's all on Novak. If he wins he's No1... Same for Tsi and Ruud. Everyone makes his own luck...
It was like that anyway. Even if Djokovic would have beaten Ruud in the final, he would be #1. The difference is 650 points right now, and the the difference between winning and reaching the final is 800 points.

Ruud can still afford to lose the final....as long as it's not Tsitsipas who beats him.
Nadal vs Ruud in the final.

Nadal wins.
Ruud becomes a new #1.

Everyone is happy.

According to Nadal, the balls are not good for those who hit high spin. Bye bye to the chances of Ruud and Tsitsipas if it is true. Of course, Nadal could just be whining because he is not in good form.

Djokovic's 2022 Wimbledon title is not an Open Era Slam, because Wimbledon wasn't open to all nationalities.
So Djokovic is currently on 20 Slams.

Нет уж. Сказали А, говорите и Б)) Что за таинственная причина?
тайны нет особой хаха, просто тим уже открыл ветку про то что он выиграет и все мы знаем чем это заканчивается как обычно

All your posts are of the same quality

His game suits hardcourts now more than ever, so makes sense that he wins the AO and ATP Finals this year.
The only thing holding him back at the US Open was a torn stomach.
Who knows, he may sweep this ATP Finals and win next year's AO too.

Djoko's Wimbledon title is not valid. The world #1 didn't participate in the tournament.

I just followed the example of Djoko fans who have been saying this about Rafa's 2022 AO title. I wonder why Djoko fans don't appreciate a taste of their own medicine.

The big difference is Djokovic was the HUGE favorite of Wimbledon 2020 and even more, AO 2022. Triple defending champion, undefeated there since 2018, world number #1 with a colossal margin. Everyone knows he had more than 80% of chances to win these.

No russian player was gonna beat him in Wimbledon 2022. Medvedev is garbage on grass. Got hammered by #200 Rijthoven in Den Bosch. Lost 2 and 2 in his last match against RBA. Never got past the 4th round in Wimbledon. And was only number #1 with a small margin and only because Djokovic missed several tournaments for political reasons.

Nadal isn't beating Djokovic in Australia. The guy hasn't won one of the last 19 sets he played against Djokovic on HC. lol
Djokovic has a positive h2h against Medvedev (on grass and overall). Medvedev can't even beat Hurakcz and Goffin in Wimbledon, so how do we asterisk the title if he DNP? lol

Apples and oranges. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the difference.

Oh no, are you using time travelling, interdimensional tennis eye test results? @GabeT isn't going to be very pleased with you... naughty grrl.

Djok fans still crying because ONE player couldn't play AO last year...
All slams count the same. It’s in the past. The best player of the tournament won. Therefore, Nadal fully deserved it. I admit djoko took advantage when Nadal had to withdraw in 2016 RG.

No matter the circumstances whoever wins it deserve full praise and nothing taken away.

Your beloved player Djoko was also the 'huge' favourite of the 2021 USO, but was beaten 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 by Medvedev in the final.

Nice try being a joker! Who is the current 4-time WB champion, Djokovic! World's #1 finished 4R in '21. BTW, Djok was barred from AO and US swing, and was taken away WB points. That was why he wasn't #1. Nadal, all he had to finish #1 was beating Tiafoe, and he couldn't do it that much!

AO is not valid. Djokovic is 4-time current champion, and was barred! Nadal hadn't won AO since '08, that's 14-year span.

What sort of Djok fan doesn't know that he won AO08? Oh yeah... :-D

Djoko himself barred him from AO and US swing in 2022. He refused to meet the requirements for international travellers to enter Australia and the USA.
