After Nadal's withdrawal the race for spot 8 just got hot. Berdych has been given a lifeline to make his 7th consecutive appearance. We should be getting a fresh line up regardless with debuts for Thiem and Monfils.

1)Djokovic
2)Murray
3)Wawrinka
4)Raonic
5)Nishikori
6)Monfils
7)Thiem 3205

Top5 qualified. Monfils a lock. Thiem should be safe too.

8)Berdych 2880
9)Goffin 2600
10) Cilic 2590
11) RBA 2340

Few others like Dimitrov and Pouille in with a mathematical chance. Kyrgios banned so can't.

@albatros_forehand ?

Prayers and poems may stop Berdifer:
A little prayer before this evening's match, in relation to Rafa's withdrawal from the WTF:

Our Godfin in Antwerp,
hallowed be Your Game.
Your Tour Finals come,
Your Return of serve be done,
in London as it is in Antwerp.

Give us our
daily tennis,
and forgive us our negliance,
as many of us have failed to keep watching you.
And lead us not into WTF-horror,
but deliver us from The Berdych.
For Yours is the World Tour Finals, the power and the glory forevermore.
(r)Amen.
Children of the beast embrace
To scorn and hate the birdman race
Consume the light that falls in his turf
Destroy him with return of serve
To a prince that will appear
And guide us through the end of the year
That shall be the end of Berdy
At the hands of prince Joffrey

I'll go with Cilic, but yeah Del Potro would of been a lot more interesting. No offense to the birdman, but I think this year showed that his best years are definitely behind him and he's not a threat anymore.

Nope, @Meles I´ve voted only now :D

Sincerely though, I think Tomas form of late has been pretty poor, mainly due to his surgery that kept him out of the USO. A good rest, and a good pre-season with THE GORAN is all he needs to prove all his doubters wrong and deliver yet another outstandingly consistent year with at leas 3 SF runs at AO, Wimby and USO.
Even at 35 he is gonna be good enough to wipe the floor with Pouilles at GS

Well Berdy did have to skip US Open so rumors of his demise unfortunately may be premature.:(

Luckily Berdy seems to have some sort of minor issue hampering him based on recent MTOs. Goffin due to burn out, so it will be close.

Honestly I had forgotten about Berdych's injury. But regardless, I think this year, he's started to slow down. The only top 4 member he could really trouble at times was Federer, but it's been a while since he really had a great victory over any of the top guys so I don't think he would of brought anything interesting at the WTF. If anything he's always under performed every year he's been there.

Why would people prefer boring Cilic over Berdy is beyond me. At least with Berdy you get to see some drama on his serve and oh.. is Ester so hot when worried for the big guy at 0-40.

Heart says Goffin or Cilic. I like Goffin and it'll be great for him to achieve a spot at the Masters. Althought I really hate Cilic, I wanna see him very tired for the Davis Cup final, if it was for me, I wanna see Cilic qualifying and playing an awful lot of matches, and overexerting himself to a point he has to withdraw from the DC final.

Berdych lead the h2h vs Murray at one point ...but Murray has him beat in their h2h in the their last few matches ....

but if he's still wheelchair and assisted living bound, just anyone but berdych

I'm going to go with the popular choice of Berdych.

this forum will get wild if ever berdych (qualifies and) wins the WTF !

Yea if Berdych qualifies over the man who double bageled him, I will be sad

Berdych's only claim-to-'fame' this year is that tasty double bagel served by Goffin. :p
For this reason alone, Goffin should take Bendych's spot at the WTF. ;)

Not Berdych.

The only time TTW ever agreed on something? That has to be a first. :D

Cilic of course!
But I don't mind Berdych either, as long as it's a Slavic player.

Goffin, but his chances are running out by now. Wouldn't mind Cilic to take it either.

Goffin AND Berdych would be fun though, for obvious reasons. Preferably in the same group. :D
Unfortunately, not possible.
