What racket should I buy
•Wilson six one tour blx
•babolat aero prodrive
•head youtek prestigepro

I am a 2.5 my iam 13 my current racket is a 26 inch with a 105 head size
I don't like the babolat that much and love the blx
I havnt playtested them

Generally speaking, maybe you should try a racket with the word 'Team' in the name. You're not ready for a 'Pro' or 'Tour' racket yet.

They arnt to havy coz I leaded my old racket to about 310 coz it wastoo light and I play cricket where bats a about 600 grams plus and you use two hands so it's like 350 grams in each hand

I am also 13, and also about that level.
It doesn't really make a difference, but i would say the aeropro drive or gt is the perfect choice.
But that is my opinion, so you should really try and demo them.

my fav put of the 3 is the Wilson blx and my least fav is the aero prodrive
I would really liketheblx but don't want it2 ruin my game but I font want the aero prodrive

I recommend a Prince 03 white, good power, great spin, surprisingly good touch. Players like Isner use it so its not a girls racket! At 13 I wouldnt suggest the blx, nor the head, maybe the apd or pure drive or youtek radical or any of the radicals which give you the chance to have a lighter pro frame and add weight as you improve and grow stronger. But the 03 white/ozone tour something like that would be best imo.

Since there are many girls who would be far better than him, nothing wrong if he uses a girl's racquet.

Seriously, at a 2.5 level, OP is better off without the 6.1.

I hate prince rackets my fav racket makers are Wilson and my fav racket by them is the blx tour but I still don't know if u should buy it

BLX is on the market a few days... How is it possible to have become your favourite?
Another victim of the Federer-Wilson marketing?

you will have your favurite playe favurite brand and favurite racket and mine are federer Wilson blx tour

I still don't know if I should get the Wilson or head coz I not gettin aero pro drive
none of the other posts helped

You apparently haven't even tried a BLX racquet; how do you know it's even that good?

You should stick to a racquet that suits your level of gameplay and playstyle. However, if your favorite racquet is the "federer Wilson blx tour", then go for it. No one's stopping you from choosing your favorite. =)

My favourite player is Federer but would not buy the K 90 just for that. And did not buy it because I prefer playing with a 95 headsize 18x20 frame... only exception is PS 6.0 95 16x18...
If I ever bought K90 it would be just to have it in my collection... for no other reason...

Different sports, apples to oranges.

I hate prince rackets

Because the marketers didn't speak to your demographic in the right way?

You came here to ask for help, and everyone told you *not* to get the BLX (or any of those rackets for your level of skill). If you're not smart enough to see that these rackets **ARE NOT FOR YOU**, then why are you even asking the forum?

Just go buy the BLX and disadvantage yourself.

im sur ull ttly play lik fdrrerr, dudz. lolololololololol.

agreeing w/ zettabyte here.
I'm 14 and 3.5, and I wouldn't consider a racket under 100 in headsize. You can go ahead and be just like Federer and get his racket, and I don't know you, but my guess is you won't play well. All of the rackets you mentioned are VERY unforgiving, and if you miss the (very specific) sweetspot, the ball will just fall to the ground on you. Besides, that whole wilson basalt fibers is total BS. How do you know you'll like any of them if you can't demo? I'd suggest getting a more suitable alternative such as the Wilson BLX Six.One Lite, Wilson KFactor KBlade Team (Venus and Serenas' rackets, 104 in), Yonex S-Fit 3, Head Youtek Radical Oversize, or Head Microgel Prestige. If money isn't a factor. But you should really find out and tell us what kind of balance, string pattern, etc. you need/want. But this post isn't helpful, so just ignore me.

I aree with this guy except for the fact that you cant handle a prestige because thats wayy to heavy for a 2.5 and you said u leaded your racket to about 310 grams... thats not havy at ALL and your considering a racket well about 370 grams.. if anything get a radical and im not just saying this to advertise my racket im saying this because seriously i play a 3.5 ( would be 4.0 if i got into shape ) and its good enough for me and i dont care if we are 2 completely different ppl like seriously i bet you can barely swing a racket above 11.5 ounces. And one more thing YOUR ARE A 2.5 for god sake. You have time dont rush just because a pro uses such and such its just stupid. Its not gonna make you play like them. And if your interested i use a rad mp with about 27grams a lead.

Okay back to original question the answer is none EXCEPT the blx six one LIGHT!!!

he uses a blx tour he is a 3.5 he used a k90 when he was 11 years old and he usedes it very well so why is every one saying i want be able to use it

I don't want to sound patronising but you're only 13. You give yourself, rightly or wrongly, an NTRP rating of 2.5. At that rating, there are frames that will help your game more than the BLX which is quite a demanding racket. I don't want to say you can't use it because to be honest, anyone can play tennis with any racket. If you buy the BLX, it isn't like you won't be able to hit shots over the net, you just might struggle with the weight and relatively small headsize more than other rackets.

You say you're currently playing with a junior racket so the BLX90 would not be an easy way to transition yourself in to adult frames. The Prestige may be slightly easier to transition to than the BLX due to its larger headsize but the Prestige Pro rackets from Head aren't the most user friendly in the world either.

The Aeropro Drive GT is what is often known as a tweener racket. It's meant to be easier to use for the average player than players' frames like the Prestige and BLX90. Of the three rackets that you enquired about, the Aeropro Drive is almost certainly the one that will enable you to improve your game the most at this point in time.

i dont like the babolat i tryed it so i not gettin it

Then when you made the most why'd you even list it as an option in the poll? How can you like the frame so much if you haven't played with it? No offense but as posted above the blx tour 90 is one of the most demanding racquets out there and to transition from a junior frame is crazy hard, on top of that to play well with the tour 90 (in most cases not always) your going to need a steady and dependable long swing to get the racquet head speed you'll probably want to get the ball where you want it at the speed you want it and coming off a junior 105 head size frame that's probably not the stroke your accustomed to hitting, regardless of what you get you should probably get a frame with a head size 98-100sq in, with a mediumish weight 11-11.6oz (strung) (which in this case based on what you listed in the poll, would in fact be the APDC although there are plenty of frames just like the APDC that are just as good like the Radical MP, plenty of prince frames, Pure Storm, Pure Drive, blx pro open etc)

Nice post lol but really this is a waste of time let this kid realize that hes made a big mistake and must go back to his junior racket

They arnt to havy coz I leaded my old racket to about 310 coz it wastoo light and I play cricket where bats a about 600 grams plus and you use two hands so it's like 350 grams in each hand

I could bench press 100 pounds so it's like 50 pounds in each hand ...NO!!!!! if you can land a ball on a dime with a cricket bat then I salute you... but it's not about whether you can swing a racket, it's about a racket that will let you play to the best of your ability.

Anyone can hit with a BLX 6.1 90, but I'm pretty sure if you use it to play matches against other 2.5's (or a level that you're even with) you will lose lose lose.

I hate prince rackets my fav racket makers are Wilson and my fav racket by them is the blx tour but I still don't know if u should buy it

Are you confusing the "BLX 6.1 Tour 90" (used by Federer) with the "BLX Tour" (used by Justine Henin)?... 6.1 Tour's are heavy rackets in the 'players' category, and Tour's are actually really good beginner and intermediate rackets. I would even suggest you buy this racket, or get the much cheaper Ntour or Ktour. It's in the right weight range of your liking and very easy to hit well with.

no I m not confusing them I want the blx 6.1 tour9 used by federer

it's a very demanding racquet, without the skillset of a very advanced player, the racquet will probably be a detriment.

realize this: it's a great racquet, but there's a reason why federer is the only player on tour to use it. if it was so easy to use that a 13 yr old can use it, don't you think more pros would be using the racquet federer uses?

you are getting good advice from people who played the game for long time, and people who used more racquets than you can imagine. if you don't want to accept the truth of these advices, then why ask for them?

i wouldn't even consider any players racquets right now if i were you.

You're like one of those kids that you always see in stores who wants something that they shouldn't have and the parents are all "No you can't have it, you could have this instead" but the kid is says "But no I want that" and throws a very large, very embarrassing temper tantrum

I used a K90 when I was 13 probably around the same level as you, and right now I'm in the process of switching to a lighter more maneuverable racket with a slightly larger head: the six one 95 BLX (18-20) so unless you want to miss-hit the crap out of the ball, have arm problems, and not be able to swing the racket at all after a certain amount of time I suggest you look at a different racket, the six one team for example

In case you didn't notice I DID help you, I think that of all the rackets to get WITHOUT demoing it first the six one tour BLX is not a good choice, I suggest you look at one of the six one 95's

Save your money. Get better with form, consistancy, change of depth, angles and pace etc...then worry about trying a new stick/technology that compliments the dependable strong points of your game. But hey, it's your money. Look at TW's tweeners section.

you know what, sometimes youngsters have to learn from mistakes themselves so if you really want it, buy it and see if it works. chances are it's too advanced for you but you seem to be very adamant it can be the right racquet.

I'm 14. I got a MG Prestige mid last year. I was about a NTRP 3.5-4.0.

My rating sorta dropped to like 2.0....

But after like 8 months, I'm up to about 4.5.

Used to use a 102 sq in.

If you wanna switch to something more to the player rackets, then take heed that its a drastic change asking for a drastic period of recovery.

Dude, is your keyboard busted? You may want to bite the bullet and shell out for a new one...

In regards to the earlier acknowledgement of FAIL in the thread, I would also like to propose that this thread has a considerable amount of lulz in it.

Agree with the sentiments of most of the replies here. Don't get a 90 sq in racquet just because Federer uses it.

I don't think your NTRP rating is the real root cause for why a racquet will fit a player. Take a long honest look at your playing style. If you hit through the ball with an aggressive WW forehand meeting the ball early, slice a backhand that bounces by your opponent's shoe laces and rush the net, regardless of your NTRP level, you might fit the BLX 90. That said, not that many 2.5s can pull this off.

At 13 your game is probably a work in progress. If you want to develop a game like Federer's, why not get a racquet that is a shade less demanding like the 6.1 95 Lite? When you get older a PJ of the K90 will still be around :)

Get yourself one of Head Radical MPs - they are lighter then "tour" sticks, but have comfort and control and will make you learn to create your own pace.

Adam, if you are a big Federer fan I'd recommend you to buy a K 90 only if you have money to spare. He won many tournaments with it, it is in a very good price and I guess it is very close to the BLX. BLX 90 will be on the market for at least 2 years. In any case if you can handle the K 90 then you will be able to handle the BLX 90 after 1 or 2 years when you buy it for sure.
Even if you can't handle such racquets you may someday when you are ready try them again or even if not it's nice to have a Federer frame just for your collection if you are a big fan...

Here's the TRUTH.

You are NOT ready to use a BLX90, or a Youtek Prestige Pro, or even a APD. These are NOT racquets for 2.5 level players, and you will NOT find any advantages with these racquets. Most 4.5 level players agree that the BLX90 is too demanding a stick for them. The only people that use them at your level are people who want to show off by having the same racquet that Federer uses.

You are ridiculous to have your heart set on these three racquets. The fact you put the APD in the list, despite not liking, and the Head, despite not liking the handle shape, just proves to me that you're not chosing based on whats best for you, but what your favourite players use.

Now, stop being ridiculous and buy a racquet that would actually be suited to your level of play, you will advance much quicker and can be thinking about a tour stick a lot sooner.

And something else, you should ask your coach about which racquet to buy. He knows your level and skill more than anyone...
If you don't have a coach then you can first find a coach and then start seeking a racquet...

You fail at life bro. These people are TRYING to help but you're being rude, ignorant, and ridiculous.

oh btw, I hope you understand Federer doesn't use an actual BLX.
