If you want a BLX racquet, get the BLX 6.1 team, it looks similar to Federer's racquet (that seems to be important to you), but it is much easier to use, due to its lower weight and bigger headsize. Also as/if you improve it is easy to customise.

i want a blx 61 paint job with a 90 head but its not that heavy coz a adult cricket bat is 1pound12ounces and the racket is 12.5 ounces

Then why create the thread if you have already decided on the BLX 90? If you get the BLX 90 you will be dissapointed with your level of play. CRICKET IS NOT THE SAME AS TENNIS! You need to accept that.

if you put a 4th poll option none of the above, i'd bet that would by far be the most voted. just sayin'

what did you say your current racquet was? and what don't you like about it? and what is your game like?

105 head 26 legnth too small too light

Man i feel sorry for mmaster and others including me who have tried to help u! Can i ask you something? Who is your favorite tennis player?

C'mon, the APDC is not going to be suitable for this kid. He's 13, a 2.5 (the lowest you can get afaik) and looking for his first proper stick, as his current one (26 inch, 106inchsq head) sounds a LOT like a junior racquet.

These recommendations are mental, NONE of those racquets are good for him, he wont get better, and will find that bad habits will get rehearsed over and over.

If you want a stick that looks like Federer's, then buy a BLX Lite, big head, 250ish grams, THATS the sort of racquet you need to be buying.

But you wont listen, so please, go buy a BLX and play terrible tennis for the forseable future. I'm making a brash assumption that as you play cricket as well you're in the UK. Well, if you're near, come try out my sticks, I have APDC's and K90's.

Why don't we all just stop giving him advice. I mean we've all given him sound advice which he turned down. He needs to learn that you don't ask for advice if you aren't going to take it, and he apparently has his heart set on getting this racket so let him. He'll learn his lesson but then he won't have the money to buy a different racket that's more suited to his game so he'll be stuck with a racket that doesn't suit him. It's his loss for not listening to any of us

I carrnt I live in england the lite isn't out till march I need a racket soon

This is like asking:

Please help me with advice, I need a new car.
Should I get:

A. Porsche Cayenne Turbo
B. Lamborghini Diablo
C. Maserati Quatroporte

I can't think of 3 more dissimilar racquets and cars than these.

And you ask about a Prestige - what Prestige, there are 3 HIGHLY different models of the Prestige on the market, and you can still get the old models a lots of places.

You need to playtest and not just buy a racquet, because Fed, Rafa and Simon/Wawrinka/Safin/Haas use them !!!

Or you need to find the racquet beat suited for you playing style - the Babolat AeroPro Drive is lightweight big headed racquet mostly suited for baseline bashing, the BLX K SIX One Tour is for all court old school players who brings their own power and the Prestige Models are too different to give advice on, but they are also in general control racquets.....

You're only 13 I see. Go to your tennis coach and ask him about advice. Tell him you want a tour racquet and not a Tweener racquet. Then hear his advice.

Where abouts in the UK are you? You're more than welcome to come try out my K90's and APDC's. It should help you see that they're not good racquets for you.

Im going to assume that you want a racquet that reflecs those being used on the tour. But im sorry, you're just not at that level yet, it WONT improve your game, it will damage it, but I'll make a comprimise and suggest a few racquets that are designed for competitive juniors.

You need something like a Head Youtek Speed Lite, Wilson Tour Team 102, Babolat XS105 etc.

But if you do buy a BLX90, PLEASE tell me what your coach's reaction is when he sees you with it. If I ever coach and some 13yr old 2.5 player turns up with a BLX90 i'd refuse to teach him, its like wanting to learn to fly and turning up in concorde.

Well off topic here, but seeing as this kid won't listen, may I ask you why you use the K90 and APDC? They just seem like totally different rackets, I assume that they would mess one's game up, if one played with one than the other...

I dont use the both, my K90's dont get used really, Just use my Babolats. I changed from K90's to APDC's about 6 months ago and haven't looked back.

I am also 13, and also about that level.
It doesn't really make a difference, but i would say the aeropro drive or gt is the perfect choice.
But that is my opinion, so you should really try and demo them.

These kids have to be kidding... This one is trying to make himself sound smarter then what he is and Adam13 is just plain ahh umm yea idk.

Nothing needs to be said, let these kids get what they want and ruing their shoulders and games. Then, they'll come back looking for racket advice again, and we can just laugh at them.

Ah, okay, that makes sence. I was gonna say, that switching back and forth between those two sticks would be quite an akward transition...

Yeah definatley. I had a friendly game with a friend today and my game completely broke down, couldnt serve, forehands lacked any kind of depth, my topspin forhand, normally my best shot, either hit the net or bounced off the frame, was a very very bad day, so I decided to get out my old K90, was a nice change really, and I managed to win a few games but could save the match :(

I need a good hitting partner, the guy I hit with at the moment is truly terrible, I feed him the bakk and he just goes for winners instead of trying to get a rally going to get consistency in groundstrokes, not good.

Yeah, I hear you. I hate partners who try to just blast winners during the warmup, rather than actually prepare their strokes, or let me get my game ready.

Look, adam13, I already saw your signuature and see that you've made up your mind. But, I think you have made a huge mistake. I am 14 years old and play at around the 4.5 level, and I want to tell you that I would never even consider using a racket like the BLX Six.One Tour. I use the Head Flexpoint Radical MP without any lead tape, and I can still hit a pretty heavy ball. I don't think you should use a Granny stick at all, but a good racket for you would probably be the Head Liquidmetal Radical MP. It's very cheap and a great value. You can grow into it, and it would be a lot more appropriate for you than the BLX Six.One Tour. Just because your favorite player plays with it doesn't mean you should get it.
By the way, cricket is a COMPLETELY different game than tennis. I know you can easily pick up the BLX Six.One Tour and swing it easily. However, if you are playing in a long match against a player who knows how to hit the ball with pace, you will never get around on it. At the 2.5 level, this is not so apparent, but at a higher level, this racket will only hold you back.
I hope you change your mind about this, as it is the wrong decision.

I font throw temper tantrums you font know me so don't post stuff like that fok off yes I want thefederer racket yes I hav enough money but I don't know if I shud buy it so instead of saying that I'll have a temper tantrum wen u don't know me jus help me

Don't buy any racquet. Use the money to buy a dictionary.

I am a 15 yr. old player, playing on Varsity at my high school. I'm not too sure where exactly my NTRP rating is, but I can guarantee that it's higher than 2.5. The BLX 6.1 Tour is WAY TOO DEMANDING for you. Even at my level, I use a Dunlop Aerogel 4D 300 (98 sq. in. head and about 310 grams), which is far less demanding than the stick that you want to buy. The only person that I know that uses either that stick or a K90 would be my COACH or club pros that I've seen.

You're 2.5? And only 13?

If anything, go for the AeroPro. The other 2 may be a bit too demanding for your playing, especially for a 2.5 ranking.
But I highly suggest you to look at another racquet!
I agree with Topspin! Check out the Head Radical Line. They offer great playability, a generous sweetspot, and great control. Also, you can (as Topspin has already stated) grow into them. Meaning as you keep playing tennis, you can still use that racquet.
The Liquidmetal Radical is on $69 while MicroGEL Radical is only $89. I have used these both, and really enjoy playing with them. Also, get the MP version if you can.

2 Things...

2 things...

One, you should not be asking others to pick your racket. Since none of us know you or have seen you play, we can only guess.

Two, I agree with what someone said before about trying something lighter around 11 ounces. Try something witht the word "team" in the racket name and stay away from "tour".
