Racket head drop

Right now, I have no racket head drop in my serve since it makes my serve inconsistent.

I am trying to hit kick serves without racket head drop since that is easier.

Should I try putting more racket head drop? And If I do that means a higher toss?

I've never seen anyone hit much of a kick serve without racket head drop. I'd be interested to see a video of your serve.

You should have racket head drop, and it whether it means you should toss the ball higher depends on your timing. Racket head drop doesn't necessarily take more time than inefficiently windmilling at the ball.

racket head drop is uncomfortable but ill try to do it

Why is it uncomfortable?

If performed properly, it should take stress off of your shoulder and allow you to accelerate the racket head more easily. For most people, assuming they don't have a death grip on the racket, the head will naturally drop.

I advise you go and look at the high definition coaching thread by Will on this page and then watch his serve progression videos. If you follow them, I'm sure it will help you learn how to properly serve.

You are not serving properly if you do not have a racquet drop. It will put more stress into your arms. Please use the racque drop. (:

Without the racket drop, you are not likely to hit a very effective serve; slice, flat, or kick.

If it feels uncomfortable to you, chances you don't have a very natural motion and you are trying to force it.

Huh?
Do you mean the racquet doesn't drop behind your back before you bring it up? If so I think this is kind of impossible if you want to reach the net, let alone get it to the service line on the other side.
Maybe you mean you drop the head less than you're used to?
Seems to me that the more kick you want, the more momentum and speed you need, and to get this you need to relax and let the racquet drop more, not less?
Am I crazy or are you?

If you're a novice at tennis I think your instructor would tell you to leave out the racket drop for the sake of making things simple. You should definitely try to make it a part of your serve though, almost every stroke relies on acceleration through impact, and a racket drop would definitely help your rackethead speed on your serve.
