Racket length

Just curious. Let say a standard length 27" racket, does it mean measured from the butt cap up to the top of the loop of the racket itself, or the top of the bumper guard? It may have about 1/8" difference due to the thickness of the bumper guard. I just think of it since the 1983 Chicago Pro Staff Original didn't come out with bumper guard but later the racket did. Thanks.

but when you plays the bumper isn't noticeable, only the weight, not the lenght

so, you're wondering if the bumperless chicago version of the ps 6.0 was perhaps 1/8" longer to make it exactly 27"? or maybe 26 7/8"? it's probably made from the same mold as the ones with bumper, so i'd guess it was 1/8" shorter, but it doesn't change where the strings are compared to the handle.
