Racket recommendations, switching from a Yonex DR98 2015 version

Hi guys, I’m looking for a switch in my racket Yonex DR98 2015 version with about 15g of lead tape all towards the butt of the racket.

Currently I’m looking at Prince’s phantom line of rackets i.e. (100x 305g / 97P / 100P).

I’m more of a doubles player and would like to have the manoeuvrability and stability up at the net.

Would really appreciate inputs of the above mentioned rackets!

Thank you

I recently demoed both the 100X 305 and 97P, and while they are great feeling frames, they are both extremely low powered, especially coming from the DR98.

If looking at Prince, I'd say demo the Beast 98 or Tour 100 310. You'll have to add weight in the handle again, but they'll provide a little more pop than the ones you mentioned.

The VCore Pro line might be a smooth transition. Either the 310 or HD would be a decent option I'd say.

I've used a few sticks since the DR98 days and have settled on the HD for now. Fits what you're looking for too I think. Very maneuverable and swings pretty fast, but also quite stable. A bit lower powered than the DR98 and you'll notice the ball comes off the stringbed a bit lower, I don't think it will require too much adjustment. Can hit a big ball too which is also a plus.

Ah thanks for this. I was wondering how the power levels compare too. The problem is that its tough to find demo frames for Prince rackets where I’m from

I have actually tried the 310 version of the Vcore Pro, I like it but I’m looking to try something new in terms of feel in the racket that’s why I’m looking at the Prince line of rackets.

I switched from dr98 to vcore98 and felt like a very easy transition. It does feel a little different at impact but I think it produces a very similar launch angle, spin and power (when you have both at same specs of course)
