Racket Recommendations

Currently, I play with the Microgel Prestige MP.

I'm looking for something with more control.
I need it to be comfortable on my arm...a flex rating of preferibly <65

My shots with the Prestige are a bit uncontrollable....might be the looseness of the strings, but just wanted to listen to some recommendations....thanks!

what's your current string and tension? if that's the problem, then switching to another racquet won't really help much. if you're looking for something similar to the prestige but softer, you should try the pro kennex redondo mid/mp.

I'm currently experimenting...don't want to go down the Poly road because most are too stiff, and the multis I use lose tension too fast and play like trampolines....I can't afford to keep restringing it that fast, even though they don't last me long.

I haven't had a go with the MG Prestige, but I think I understand what you're getting at here. One frame you might want to try out is the Yonex RQiS 1 Tour. I got one in a trade and although I usually use heavier racquets, this frame has played quite nicely. Plenty of flex in the throat, but the hoop is rather firm so it's soft and also delivers nice control.

I prefer to stay away from a lot of lead tape on a racquet, but I put some 3/9 o'clock lead on this Yonex and it was a lot better behaved on the courts. The string that came with this frame when I got it might have been some basic Prince Lightning, but it lasted a long time and performed nicely for me with plenty of feel.
