Racket replacing angell TC95

Hello everyone.

I am a player with a style of heavy topspin, have been using a TC95 70RA for two years. Now I start to question whether this is the right choice, as the racket has a small head size for a topspin game. The sweet spot is also quite small, often hard to play with. Can anyone who uses the same racket prove if this is actually the case, or am I delusional?

Now I am looking at a few different rackets to replace them:
Radical mp 2021, speed mp 2021, ezone 98, extreme tour 98

I wonder if any of these rackets have a similar feel compare to the tc95 and which one is worth a try? Thanks a lot.

Like you I was just looking for a bit easier frame than my TC95 16x19 63RA as well.

In your case the TC100 is indeed the most logical choice as it is just a bigger version of the TC95.
As an alternative for the TC100 you might consider the Diadem Nova as well. I didn't hit with that one but I read promising reviews about it.

A few years I already tried and purchased 2 TC100s but after a few months I sold them as it still didn't suit my more old school game as well. Then I switched to Wilson Ultra Tour and after that to the TC95 16m 63RA. However I think the TC100 is great for a heavy topspin game and it'll suit your game very well.

Otherwise I would recommend you the Diadem Elevate FS 98 or Elevate FS 98 Tour if you prefer a 98 sq inch frame.
Last week I demoed the Diadem Elevate FS 98 (64RA) and the Elevate FS 98 Tour (67RA). Foam filled like the TC95 very comfortable and it plays a bit easier than the TC95.
The Elevate Tour that is a bit a stiffer than the standard Elevate may feel more like your TC95 70RA.

Tough one.... but interesting to see if someone indeed found something :)

I feel like If I ever change from tc95 16x19 the only racquet I could play with will be 18x20 pattern. Go figure... Blade 16x19 v7 was quiteeeee close but not good enough to play the Wilson's lottery game with quality control............ its that bad. I mean.... maybe its not that bad but if the racquet is already quite head heavy with high SW then every increase in SW and in balance make it much more noticable. Especially if a player is used to HL setups.

Gravity Pro was close. but the feel is not good enough...

Speed Pro was really good ! but cmon... from 20 mm to 23mm I feel like a dinosaur oldy that needs help to play good xd

Prestige MP ? ok. We are getting somewhere here but at that point its almost like running in circles because from 16x19 thin beam to slightly bigger headsize BUT 18x20 thin beam and low SW combo make it similarly forgiving.

Radical Pro ? havent tried it.

Vcore 97 - horrible

Vcore 95 - havent tried it and looks most promising to be honest but for sure will have to be customized a bit.

If you are finding the TC 95 difficult to use then you are probably looking for something with a wider and larger head or one that plays like one. For example the Yonex V Core 95 plays more like a 97 or 98.
If I was going larger have a hit with the Angell K7 Red, it’s got a very open 16/19, very plush and well made.
Another option could be the Diadem Elevate MP 98. It’s a good racquet and so is the Prince Phantom 100x. Out of the ones you mentioned I would give the speed MP a go.

If it’s only the headsize that is the problem, TC100 is an obvious and logical choice.

Maybe a Dunlop CX 200 Tour 16x19 or Wilson Ultra Pro 16x19 customized to your specs.
I tried CX 200 Tour 18x20. It was astonishing ! Great feel but the stability is quite poor... I hate finding stability in frame. Almost impossible. I see customizing as a tool mostly for finding feel on your loop, not changing the characteristics of the racquet. In other words - I think that unstable frame will always feel a bit unstable no matter how much weight you add. Maybe silly maybe not but in 315 grams you can have a really solid frames. But oh boy the feel was great. I would say CX200 tour 18x20 is like a Speed Pro trapped in 95" thin beam. But ye... you loose a lot of stability...

The TC95 was my gem racket until I decided to leave the sport due to injury. I had tried a lot of rackets before I used the TC95. Out of all the rackets that I tried so far, I think the Prince Tour 95 will be the closest one that can come in feel, spin window, and its stiffness.
