Rackets of the same line differences besides weight?

Hi,
I narrowed it down to the wilson clash 100L and 100UL for my 12 year old daughter and i was wondering.
Do companies really change the specs of the frame between the different rackets of the same type or only add weight to specific areas?
For example all clash 100 models (L, 100, tour)have 55 flex rating and the ul has 60. Is this true or a marketing gimmick?

Yes they do. Usually the lighter the racket the more head heavy the racket is. You should be able to find the balance point data or head light balance data at TW.

You should be aware that most of the specs TW posts are not manufacturer's specs, but "average of 5-10 measurements" taken on a strung frame at TW. So, for example, TW posts the swingweight and RA for the Clash models, but if you go to Wilson's site and look at the Clash, those specs are not posted. Other than physical things (like string pattern and beam width), they only post weight & balance.

I believe for the most part, the 'light' and 'regular' versions of the frame are the same, only with weight missing in key places.
