Beautiful.

You know in the movies how the car always makes it to the end of the chase and then falls to bits in a smokey, steaming heap? That's what you must do with these racquets. Use 'em up because no-one is going to enjoy them like you.

I wrote the seller an email explaining to him about how these are my all time dream rackets . Must have been a 3 page homage letter .. kinda embarrassing looking back . I let it all out to man , super thick. But all true ... he was so cool about it he let me pay in installments even over few days just to be nice and threw in 2 for free . I was shocked . Such a great dude . JENS Dinglbacher! If your out there I love you buddy !,,

That's awesome man. Glad you got your dream racquets. They look amazing. What are you gonna string them up with?

Shaolin !! Well I’m gonna only use two for the next few years the other 4 , as I have 6 in all .
Kinda confusing so let me explain .
So when this deal started to take shape I asked the seller if I may get one of them now. Just to make sure it’s what I think it is .
You see it’s the GLM version, which by all accounts is an inch shorter . Perfect for me . Also it’s WICKED FLEXIBLE. Waaaaaaaaau waaaaay more than the others ..So .
I got the one .and used it to make sure it was gonna be a good fit and it blew my expectations outta the water .

I started watching tennis because of Boris. I rooted for him since 1990 when he lost his Wimbledon final against Edberg, till the end of his career. It was disaster in 1991 final against his country man Stich where he cried like a teenager during the match and showed the worst body language whatever can imagine.
It was cool to see him as AO winner again in 1996 where he beat Chang in the final. But that's was his last Trophy.
These rackets are good to have just as good memory.

They are still quite heavy so that is why I painted the one . I will be painting another one soon but I will Keep the other 4 stock and unstrung and un wrapped .
I don’t want to touch them as I get crazy and switch rackets all the time . But this is dif cuz it’s all my fave attributes in one frame . It was the shape and flex and balance . Weight is still an issue . But there is a some weight differences between them all . I’ll take the lightest one and paint it . That will leave me with 2 modded frames , plenty to last a while .
I’ll be using iso speed professional/ tier one ghost wire poly . And prince pro blend . Those 3 will be what I use . In varying degrees my tensions will mostly be 33-41 lbs

Wow great post ! I agree .
I grew up in the Agassi era . All the juniors in my area had his hair cut . His denim shorts and his shoes .
I loved Agassi too honestly . But I LOVED BECKER. I wore sweater vests and all Fila all the time for awhile . I’ve sadly copied his ground strokes as best I could . Not well mind ya! My all time fave years of Becker was when he denounced serve and volley tennis and became a baseliner mostly . Although if starting to lose too badly he’s revert back to S&V.
I don’t know what it is about his dam forehand but it makes me crazy excited to see his form in it .
No one else I know has ever commented on that side but I just love his take back and follow thru. I have searched the world over to see that shot in slow motion but to no avail.

That's cool...use two and hoard the others lol. Flexible racquets feel so good, glad you found your holy grail. BTW I love the Becker fh also, something about it just looks great. Below video has a little clip of him hitting in slow motion...

Lawrence KS, home of the Jayhawks :)
Spent a couple years in Lawrence for grad school. Was there in 1988 when Danny and the Miracles won a national championship. Nice city, but the summers were brutal with the heat and humidity. We would wait to play tennis until the sun went down and the temperature dropped below 90 degrees. Anxiously waiting to see how the situation with the NCAA gets resolved.

I was trying to read up on it but could not find any background info. Can you please tell what happened with the NCAA? I can't see any info on mens tennis for KU only womens pops up so I'm guessing they either scratched their mens program or maybe suspended it?

I apologize for any confusion, but the situation with the NCAA has to do with men's basketball and to a lesser extent football. I am unaware of any tennis related issues.

Small world! Rock Chalk! Yes the summers here can be brutal. Last summer I played a bunch of night matches at about 85 degrees, 80+% humidity or so, went home feeling like I was gonna die, I loved it though. I grew up in a dark, icy frozen land so I actually love the heat. Speaking of Danny Manning, he came to a match I was in once and watched me play (I don't know him)...was really cool to see him in the crowd, also motivating.

KU has just a women's team now. The men's team was cut due to Title 9 back in the early 2000s.

@tennisgurl I was about to post and see tha @Shaolin beat me to it. KU men's team was cut back in 2001. I know this because I started my undergrad that year and had been hunting for tennis scholarships and that was big news (ultimately got in a DII school in south central). They have only had women's tennis since then.

I hate to do it but they are still 12 oz strung up and I flat out cant handle the weight . But when I paint them I can get them well into my weight zone for feeding and hitting with a weak shoulder and wrist problems.

i hear you and understand and they’re yours to do as you please, but man I couldn’t do it. Not in the condition those are in. That’s like getting a new Ferrari and sanding it down and taking it to Maaco to paint it.

I used to hit with the mens coach then. Talked to him the day the program got cut. Bummer to say the least. KU has a beautiful indoor facility now though, drop by if you are ever in Lawrence :)

They're beautiful. Are you gonna play with them? And these ones, if I may, you should not repaint... ;)

Im guessing if Joeys wife ever got on here and read all his threads, she would probably have a heart attack when she realises why they never have any money and always seem to eat baked beans or 2 minute noodles for dinner every night!

@teachingprotx - I can't image those will be your racquets for life - they're not junior's racquets and they aren't 26.5", lol
Hahaha they are in fact JUNIORS ! They are stock 26 models .
These are the estusa pro van tech GLM version..
That’s why it’s so amazing that I found these .. my dream stick :)I never even knew these were ever even made !
Much to my disbelief that they can’t be all that good but they are incredible . Super soft sticks . So flexible indeed I think they may be 100% fiberglass . So know one should be envious as I’m the only person on the boards that actually really in my daily tennis life play with 26 JR sticks :)
That is why I’m so super jazzed about these :)

Made in Taiwan all foam filled but made of fiber glass . If you don’t like the Rossi f200 and wish it was even more flexible then you would HATE these . The other pros I work with can barely hit the ball over the net with them .
They actually hit very similar to a super flexy Head Club Pro 89.5 stick . Which I love too . But they are quite a bit more flexible than even the club pro, which I thought was the most relevant flexible racket that was made of graphit Fiber glass compositions .,
