Racquet between current Radical Pro and Vcore 98

Hi there,
I recently tested the Radical Pro and the Vcore 98. What I enjoyed a lot was the easy spin of the Vcore and the control of the Radical but I was also missing a bit of those features in the other racket. So I‘m wondering what might be inbetween those two.

Radical MP 360+! Plays heavier than Spec’s would indicate. I have a VCore 98 Galaxy and it’s a huge difference. Radical feels much HH and stable, better directional control and adds good spin. I would add a leather grip and that would be it. VC 98 is hollow and feels “empty “ compared to Rad MP.

I have zero experience with either of the rackets mentioned, nor the one I'm recommending, but it sounds like the Extreme Tour would be something to consider?

The Extreme line is Head's spin line, but the Tour is also heralded as a departure from their usual "tweener" type rackets in the range and more of a control/player's frame.

Seems like it's basically an open patterned Radical with Spin Grommets (except it's still more closed than traditional spin rackets).

Thanks, will try that one.
That current vcore doesn‘t feel hollow at all in my opinion - pretty nice but very muted.

That sounds like a great recommendation, thanks! On paper it looks like exactly what I was asking for.

@Spin Diesel let us know how it goes if you demo those. I am also shopping for a new racket and these 2 are at the top of my list
I only have the Extreme Tour here for now, Radical MP wasn‘t available. And kind of bad timing, cause it‘s raining a lot. I hope I get to hit enough with it.

Did use the Vcore 98 more - really enjoyed that one. A lot of easy spin and power. My game is based more on topspin anyways. Just wished for a bit more control on flat shots because I was testing the Radical Pro besides it. That one just doesn‘t offer me enough of that easy spin. Especially because I found it to be fairly powerful still.

I‘m really looking forward to using the extreme tour - hope it offers those inbetween properties I‘m looking for.

@Spin Diesel I saw you comment on my other post. How do you like the Extreme Tour?

I tried to get a demo from TW but it says it's due back in March??
Yeah, as I posted there - unfortunately the string tension was extremely low, so I didn‘t use it a lot. The launch angle was too high for me to adjust to. Didn‘t get anything from that demo.
I also demoed the TF40 315 and I really liked that one. For me it had more spin than the Radical Pro - or maybe I just thought so because of the very low launch angle. But it‘s super controlled, which I kind of appreciated more than I thought. I felt like I could hit faster shots, because it gave me such confidence. I’m thinking of getting a used one, so I can test it more extensively.
I also enjoyed the feeling on contact a lot!

I play with Radical Pro, now probably switching to VC95, but I tried VC98 and liked it. but the answer to your question isn't extreme tour, tried that too. you are looking for a blade 98 16x19 then

May seem like a bizarre suggestion, but the VC95 has a lot of spin and is pretty easy to use for it's size. I mention that because the control is a lot better than the 98 and the spin is still pretty easy to generate.

I already tried that one and it was a bit too low powered for me and if I strung it lower I guess the launch angle would bother me.

lower launch angle sticks to try:
pro staff v13 6.1 100 (just released) 16x19
ezone 98 16x19
vcore 95 16x20

all have good control, vcore 95 having the most control/least power
they are listed in most power to least power
the vcore 95 plays like a 98
all three of these are headlight, whippy

radical pro is not whippy and 18x20

Ok. I can also suggest the new yellow ProKennex series. Just pick a weight that you like. The new PKs have more power than the VC95 but still have really good control. I personally like the XL version, but they also have a standard length with a similar weight.
