racquet LABEL HOLDER

Not for me... I don’t want my racquet stringer sticking stuff on my racquet... annoys me when my car dealer sticks an oil change sticker on my windshield as well. First thing I do is peel them off... ;-)

Too large. I am a member of the USRSA and they have nice racquet labels that have their logo on them and just enough space to write string, tension , lbs. And stringer name, with a clear lable that goes over it. It peels off easy as well.I know others here print their own, so maybe they will chime in.

Why not just use a label maker? I hate when I get rackets from players and theres a literal pile of labels on them. Why don't others peel the labels off before putting new ones on? I understand like two but when its like 6-8 labels it starts to stick out from the racket and is just weird looking.

I use a Dymo 450 twin to print labels. Racquet label has player name, mains+tension, crosses+tension, and a restringing date. Bag label has same info, plus my contact information. A little alcohol on a cotton ball will take labels off fairly well. Labels for the University have school logo, and no restring date or contact info. You can create a database that fills out the labels.

@jim e yeah, agree a bit big!, i made an earlier version for some of the smaller sticker i normally use; this one was done bigger to show standard size stickers on video

@SavvyStringer haa, yeah i hear that; the pile of stickers where coming unglued on me; this is one of the reasons I made this, no more glue/sticker issue

one other issue, is the sticker not sitting flush on that part of the racquet, on some racquets more so then others; the double sided foam tape takes care of this a bit better

i think its still a work in progress, size wise; but it worked out well today
I kept checking to make sure the label/s stayed put, no issue..

Way too big IMO.

I use the label in the link below. I print the logo on them on a laser printer - using a template I put together on MS Word. The logo includes a couple lines to write in date, string, and tension. The labels can be ordered in polyester, which makes removing them cake. (Ever tried to remove a several year old paper label? I’d rather cut myself with a spoon.)

I use a ultra fine sharpie to write in the details on the label. Occasionally the adhesive isn’t robust enough to stick on some of the frames with a matte paint job. For those I put a piece of scotch tape over top. Sure, it’s not as elegant of a solution as using a label maker. But man is it cheaper. Those label refills are a rip off. And the machines waste so much of the tape. No thanks. I think I bought 20 pages of blank labels for around $25-$30. That’s over 1200 labels worth. I’ll be set for quite a while.

one other reason ive been thinking about this holder:
I myself tend to move the weight on the racquets a lot, add lead here, take lead away, etc..
so the weight and the balance point change (more so than the string and tension at times)
this holder lets me modify the written label without the sticky mess, or label coming unglued

its a work in progress
it is a bit big, and the edges are not perfect yet, but it is holding like i wanted it to, lets see how long it lasts..
