Racquets for girls

Will try this here in the junior section...

I'm out of my element here. What are good choices for 27" junior girls racquets? I have never heard much about what female pros use and don't know what's popular with junior girls. Need something for an intermediate junior girl developing but full strokes. Maybe needs a little power but not too much. Don't mind buying one as an intermediate step to use for a year then move on. I need advice.

Youtek IG Prestige S?
Youtek IG Radical S?

Would love something in the Head line, it's what I use.

Thanks.

From what I've seen at tournaments, Bobolat and Wilson racquets seemed to be the most popular among girls.
Kim Clijsters, Stosur and Li Na use Bobolat. Azarenka, Kvitova and the Williams use Wilson racquets. Sharapova? and Christina McHale play with Head. Not sure because of sponsorship deal or they really like them.
My 2 children use Wilson line, so...not really familiar with Head. I saw one of the top 12 yo girls in our section using Head IG Speed. Never asked her about it though.

Bobolat and Wilson have a lot to choose from; also many tweener, Lite and team versions. Tons of girls use AeroPro and Puredrive Bobolat. For Wilson, BLX ProOpen, Blade, SixOne and this year Juice are popular. Check specs (available even on an online store) so you can see head size, wt, stiffness, head light/heavy,etc. Might help you narrow your choices down and get some demos to try.

Sorry for a long reply but I think the info might help other parents too.

my experience

My daughter has always played with Head from 9 on.

Started with the instinct and now play with the Radical the S version of both those frames. Can't remember what they were called back then.

The S version of these racquets are great, but toward the later 12's to 13 I was putting lead tape on the Radical. then went with the Radical MP YT IG out of the box. I use a hybrid poly main syn cross at 55/58.

I would stay away from the Prestige till she is a bit older.

She is a 15 yr old 5 star.

Good luck

what a difference

Per some other recommendations on here, I moved my 8 year old daughter up to a 26" babolat aero gt (she's 4'8). She was able to hit regular compression way more smoothly, and accurately. Her serves were much better as well. I had no idea there would be such a difference between 25 & 26".

I went with the radical s. We'll see how it works out. I figure I can add weight over the nest 12-18 months as she grows. I'll report back in a few weeks.
