RacquetTune for Android beta testing

It's essential to have the String Factor Reading in this App.
Without String Factor Reading, it's useless since every string has it's own characteristics.
When are you going to implement this function in the App??

The tension in the racquet is NOT the same as the tension setting on the string machine:

So a 10 lb lower value is not uncommon. 20 lb, however, sound a bit too much (provided that you have the right racquet are ans string factor). One thing you can check in your stringing procedure is how much the clamps bounces back when you release the weight. Even a few mm motion means a lot of tension loss. I clamp the string and then push the clamp-holder a little towards the weight before fastening it. In that way I minimize the motion.

I understood that a tension difference of around 10 lbs was normal after I downloaded the app but 20 lbs seemed like too big of a difference.

Thanks for the advice.

The correct String Factor Value is much more important, to get a reliable tension reading.

I have been measuring some rackets today. Some times RT seems to give really bad readings. When I completely close the app and reopen it seems to do much better. Just pressing the home key does not completely close the app on my iPad not sure what you need to do to completely close in on an android system.

Nearly 3 years later, is this app worth the purchase on android devices or is it lacking features like the website says?

I have used it on 3 android phones.

On my S3, it works well, but my microphone didn't pick up the audio, so i had to use an external mic.
On my LG, it works well, but it would shut down when I changed racquets in the library.
On my Huawei, it works well with no real problems.

I don't have anything to compare it to as I don't have any ios products. I think it's worth the small price, easily.

With IOS you need to double press home key as if you will be switching between active apps, then press onto the app, keep pressed and slide it up, that will shut down the app and remove from memory.

Sadly no updates.
I'm pretty sure Sten outsourced the Android version. Whether the developer was paid a flat fee or a percentage of sales, truth is that this app doesn't make much money, particularly as the sales model only brings in revenue with new users. The iOS version was more a labour of love, but even enhancements to that have significantly slowed.
