not necessarily...... i recalled the commentators were saying that Andrew is also keen to progress with his kid's progress and he will need to juggle between ER and his kid.... so this maybe be a sensible decision for both parties.Heartless
maybe it was mutual decision
I think he was only bought in for the USO. It's understandable, now that she has more money and status, that she would be looking for a more experienced coach. She could take on Cahill, for example.
Perhaps he doesn’t want to traipse all over the globe. Some people have other commitments, such as family, and are unprepared to give it up.Hasn't he proven that he can coach her to grand slam titles?
Yeah, but there are still much higher status coaches out there she can now have. She could hire Hogstedt or Groeneveld. They have far more experience than Richardson at training slam winners.Hasn't he proven that he can coach her to grand slam titles?
This is a very good point - how are you btw?not necessarily...... i recalled the commentators were saying that Andrew is also keen to progress with his kid's progress and he will need to juggle between ER and his kid.... so this maybe be a sensible decision for both parties.
also, if ER is under the LTA "sponsorship", does this mean the LTA made this decision, instead of ER (and/or her parents)?
Hmm....bad signs already
Yeah.
t minus 7 minutes until she starts referring to herself in 3rd personHead about 13% bigger already lol
Darren Cahill would be an ideal pick but I'm not sure if she can afford his services.I think he was only bought in for the USO. It's understandable, now that she has more money and status, that she would be looking for a more experienced coach. She could take on Cahill, for example.
Richardson: “Uggh I hate the fact that you’re so successful. Sorry I just can’t keep working with you. I wouldn’t know what to do with all the money. You’ll have to find someone else to get rich with.”maybe it was mutual decision
am all over the place in the past few months (long story)... but getting there.... i think/hope.This is a very good point - how are you btw?
you got a point...Richardson: “Uggh I hate the fact that you’re so successful. Sorry I just can’t keep working with you. I wouldn’t know what to do with all the money. You’ll have to find someone else to get rich with.”
Oh, those commentators! I find it hard to believe that a tennis coach of someone who's just won a GS would rather train some kids than his champion.i recalled the commentators were saying that Andrew is also keen to progress with his kid's progress and he will need to juggle between ER and his kid.... so this maybe be a sensible decision for both parties.
also, if ER is under the LTA "sponsorship", does this mean the LTA made this decision, instead of ER (and/or her parents)?
Really? The guy's virtually everywhere now. I saw him sitting in Coco Gauff's box in Wimbledon and then with Tsitsi's father somewhere in the US either in Cincy or USO. He's like a tennis coach ***** now.Reasonable decision. Mouratoglou is free and available.
Rich get richer and all that."Obviously having such an experience with your team, it's tough to have that conversation with anyone," Raducanu said. "But I need someone who's had that professional tour experience.
"I think for me it's just really what I need. And especially right now because I'm so new to it, I really need someone to guide me who's already been through that."
"I feel like at this stage in my career, and playing the top players in the world, I realised I really need someone right now that has had that WTA Tour experience at the high levels, which means that I'm looking for someone who has been at that level and knows what it takes," she said.
Richardson, 47, first worked with Raducanu when she was a 10-year-old at the Bromley Tennis Centre.
Raducanu will now decide on what tournaments she will contest for the rest of a whirlwind season with the Indian Wells event a possible option.
"I'll decide in the next few days where I'm going to go to but wherever I play next I'm going to make sure I'm ready. I don't want to jump into things too early," she said.

Well, seems that that does not include Naomi Osaka who fired her coach right after she won her second GS as a teen. Her role models are Halep and Li Na, and Cahill and (as far as I know) Carlos Rodriguez have openings at the moment. Just sayin'.
LTA & Nike could chip in if they deem it worthwhile. Plus Cahill might be willing to take a pay cut.Darren Cahill would be an ideal pick but I'm not sure if she can afford his services.
Hire Judy Murray!Should hire Murray.
This is probably it. They must've both decided that she's now a full-fledged pro and moving on.I will withhold judgment until I see who her next coach is.
The Richardson guy had been coaching her since Juniors and I think is admittedly not a year-round WTA Tour veteran, he's mainly a youth coach. So it may have been a mutual decision as well.
On the surface it doesn't look great, though.
2004, no?Roger Federer got rid of Peter Lundgren at the end of 2003.
