Radical & Prestige IG

If someone has both the Radical Pro IG and the Radical MP, can they compare head shape? If I recall, the YT Radical Pro had a 100 sq. inch rounder head size compared to the MP. With the head size now the same and the beam width supposedly the same (from the website), I would think that the new Radical Pro IG would basically be a 16x19 Radical MP with slightly more static weight and CAPS.

I think you're right. There's no reason for a 100 inch radical now that there is the speed line, so a Murray look-alike frame is a good idea.

So i just saw the new prestiges and radicals at your advantage tennis shop in chicago. Theyre actually available to demo, but their demo policy is a rip off so I did not demo them. I can say that I like both paintjobs in real life and the clear grommets are not that bad looking in person (i still like black better). The prestiges may disappoint some people because the bottom half of the prestige is now a lighter reddish almost borderline pinkish color. Looked sharp to me though, but definitely not as classic looking as the youtek. The rads are still that red-orange color and the radical pro felt nice dry swinging it. Ill for sure be demoing the rad pro when its at TW.
I also put the rad pro up to the rad midplus and it looked like the same mold/headsize, just with the caps and a 16x19. I think it is going to sell very well because people have been wanting an open patterned radical for a while. That's all I can say really, I dont know the swingweights or flex of them because the employees at the shop didnt know when I asked. Sorry I couldnt get more info, but anyone from Chicago can go check them out and demo them there. They have the prestige mid, MP and pro and the radical MP and pro.

Definitely looking forward to the Rad Pro since I like the Rad MP but not the 18x20 string pattern.

Ahh Not a huge fan... They're re-painted Youteks! I must confess, I was hoping for a new paint job like they did with the Extremes. Lets hope engine runs prime under the paint

Actually just demo'd the IGPrestige MP on tuesday, dropped it off yesterday. The local shop had these in the back and the owner thought I might enjoy one of them, as he knows my tastes. He had 4 IGRads and 4IGPrestiges.
Was strung with sonic pro and I actually had to take the plastic off the handle and wrap an OG... first time I had been the first for a demo. :smile:
I hated the Yt version.... so really I have nothing good to say about this one either. Too stiff and not enough swing weight. The only place I like the YouTek stuff is at net. I really prefer the MicroGel version better. If I recall correctly though, this IG version felt more substantial around the sweetspot. I really felt like the YouTeks felt 'plasticy' and 'tinny'. No such problems here. But still YouTek stiffness.
I actually enjoyed the BLXBlade98 out of all the demos from tuesday. Also demo'd the PDGT.

I saw the new IG line on display in the local shop. After checking all the new IG sticks I am willing to bet that IG Radical PRO will be probably the best seller. The weight is lowered to 310g, the balance to 320 mm, 98 sq inches head size, 16x19 pattern and according to the owner of the shop, they measured the swing-weight of approximately 320. The racquet feels very manoeuvrable - very similar to YT Radical MP. I am just sorry I couldn't demo it.

Absolutely no imagination went into these pjs. They just changed the shade of red and orange. I agree - the Prestige is too pink.
