Rafa and Roger speak on Novak's recent troubles

"Novak is going through a crisis and it surprised me. I expected him to win an important tournament after Roland Garros, Toronto aside. But once you realize career Grand Slam, a new career begins. You have to ask yourself, why do I keep playing? You have to change your mentality, what are your goals? Sometimes it requires a week, sometimes a month, a year or you do not find the right feeling anymore",

Rafa said
"Life is much more than tennis for me personally. In my life there has always been a lot of very important things away from tennis, and it's true that tennis has been for the last 20 years an important part of my life, for sure, but in life there is a lot more important things than just the game. So happiness is other things, the health of your family, the people who you love and their health and to be close to them. That in my opinion is happiness."

However, they're both thinking:
Why couldn't he have this crisis back in 2011?

Grow up Novak.

I will say this, and I will probably cop some flack over this. Jelena is having a detrimental affect on him. This vegan holier than though approach, does not create champions. Like making a lion go on a vegan diet. Just cannot work.

+1 for Futurama reference

He has climbed his own Mount Everest by winning the French, the disappointment of the Olympics and USO, and now is having a flat spell.
No doubt he will turn it around, another AO-RG double is on the cards again next year, as if that isn't motivation enough.

I think it's more normal than not that, when children come along, things tend to drop off. It takes a rare person to continue to prioritise the game over a new child.

Losing in the 1st round at the OG knocked his ego for six because he'd already pencilled in an Olympic Gold and probably bought the celebration champagne. To go home empty handed must have been devastating especially with both Nadal and Murray going home with gold. He is suffering from knowing that he will never be among the Olympic Gold Medallists in his country.

Vegan = eating disorder. If we weren't supposed to eat meat, why is bacon so good? Anyway, Djokovic poured his heart and soul into becoming the best, and he did it. But I reckon there is just so much one can give.

The Dal said happiness is family and be close to them. Does this mean his tennis is not happiness? I can understand LOL MUAHAHAHA.

Lol Novak has won so many slams as vegan, and now people are blaming his losses on being vegan. As if he was supposed to dominate & win slams forever. but hey with logic in this thread like "If we weren't supposed to eat meat, why is bacon sogood?" why am I even still surprised?

Don't be stupid please! Do you know them personally to say such a thing?

His wife seemed not herself at the last US Open - she was banished to the back row of the box and was not there in spirit and not engaged at all in the matches vs Monfils and Stan - Remember she used to be front row very very animated and excited and totally engaged in the match and pumping her fists and making lots of eye contact with her man - But she was the total opposite at US Open - which would lend credence to the rumors that the couple are/were suffering marital problems -
She was a lot more animated and engrossed in his matched before they were married....just saying.

Roger Said: Bloody bathtub injury....if it weren't for the twins I would of had number 18 at the US Open!

Rafa Said: Have you seen the museum at the Rafa Nadal Academy, it now has 2 gold medals, no.

One of the unsolved mysteries of this world.
It is actually very simple and predictable, but only in hindsight. I believe that Novak Djokovic chances to get to 17 and 302 are firmly in hands of Jelena Djokovic. I believe that she is the major deciding factor in that matter.

Friggin Federer. Hes a moron

Going through a "crisis". ROFLMAO. Yea a 2 slam year and another slam final. Some "Crisis".

Guess unless you win the calendar slam and 100 mickey mouse tourneys for the season, your career is in "crisis"

If Nole career is in crisis, Fed and Nadal's are DEAD

After everything that Novak has done over the last 3 years, he is still 6 slams short of crossing Fed.

So, yes .. he is in a crisis

17 is a pretty high number. You know that everything djokovic has done for the last 3 years has put him at 5th place with most majors won of all times. And he is not even done.

Sure, he is in a crisis.

He sure has got ATG status now . But he was destined to be the greatest and now he seems to have hit a major road block just when it was looking that he will climb atop the mountain.

Looks like he will be few notches down in the hierarchy

How can you possibly know the effect Novak's wife has on him, for good or for bad? Nobody knows what goes on within the confines of any marriage except the two people involved. And is it established that Jelena was the one who convinced him to go vegan?

I can't believe his fans blaming Jelena for Djoker's recent dip in form.
