yea he is back to his old trusty RPM. and he Sucked..............I'm watching the Rafa Muller match right now and noticed that Rafa's string is black again. Is he back to RPM Blast?
Rafa's stringer thinks that he should change rackets. He first started stringing Rafa's racket when Rafa was 15.
Xavi Segura: ´Nadal changed strings because of a lack of confidence. If I were him, I would change racket´
Tennis - The person who takes care of the strings´ Spanish Davis Cup players speaks why the World No. 5 changed strings again .

Sometimes changing is a good option to get things running right. Rafael Nadal took an important decision with the goal to find new solutions and to turn this 2016 season that so far saw him losing four times and win eight. The Mallorcan, who had started the season with different cords, Luxilon Big Bancer Original' ones to find more power and spin in his shots, is back to use the ones he has been using since 2010, Babolat RPM Blast. On the court Rafa has had new feelings again, but now results are needed.
'Through all the past season he was finding more power in his shots, that has lacked in the last years' - said to El Espanol Xavi Segura, who works for Spanish Davis Cup Team as the one who takes care of the strings' players. Rafa trusts in him. 'One of the options considered was changing strings and he chose Luxilon because they gave him more power than Babolat RPM Blast and the same time something more in terms of spin.'
'Back to the old strings was a normal enough step' - assured Francis Roig, who accompanies World No.5 in Indian Wells as coach. 'It's logic to come back to the past when you change something and results are not the expected ones. Strings created him some doubts in these tournaments (Australian Open, Buenos Aires and Rio) and with the ones he always used has always played very well. It's a question of feelings on the court, but we have not to give it more importance.'
Nadal had changed strings with a view to adapt to what his team calls it 'New tennis', where players thinks less and hit stronger taking more risks. 'He returns to the old strings for a confidence question' - declared Segura. 'He knows that the old ones will not give him the power and the strenght on the ball that had with the Luxilon ones, but he feels more comfortable and knows it perfectly ecause he won so many matches using them. In the previous tournaments (this year) with these strings the feelings were not good.'
'I admit that I was one of the people that thought that would have been fine. Strings were moving too much and some spaces were open, so he could not almost control the ball'. But according to Segura there is a new possible solution: 'If they asked me, more than a strings change I might make him change racket. Now he uses AeroPro Drive, that does not give him much power. Pure Drive is a good choice. During his first year as pro he played with this. It's a very used racket on the Tour that is approved by many high level players. With the age he is starting to be, and without the physical he had before, a model change would be ideal, instead of changing strings.'

Try to learn a big serve and HOLD serve and not get broken every other game. or serve 115 mph but serve more accurately which would be easier to accomplish. Learn from Federer, he only serves around 115-120 mph but is very very accurate into corners and holds serves like 90 % of the time. He is like a control pitcher, changing locations and speed. Nadal can learn that, it is not too late.Hi Nostradamus. So in your opinion, what would be Nadals best strategy at this point?

U know u couldn't be any more spot on. Which is more than what I can say for Nadals serve accuracy as you have pointed out. Sometimes u sound like u are really a professional tennis coach. But that is great advice. He needs to hit his spots with more accuracy and keep his opponents guessing. I hear u. I wish it was possible to email him this good advice. But I don't think that is possible. O well
You are right and Pete Sampras can be a good coach to learn that.Try to learn a big serve and HOLD serve and not get broken every other game. or serve 115 mph but serve more accurately which would be easier to accomplish. You are correct. but Nadal he gets into these old habits that die hard. he has been just spinning the serve into SAME spots all his life and all of sudden for him to change that and become more spot server maybe too tough for him. He has to change his Brain....U know u couldn't be any more spot on. Which is more than what I can say for Nadals serve accuracy as you have pointed out. Yes and even better when Federer retires maybe he can coach or teach RAFA on what he does with his serves.... that might be even better. lolYou are right and Pete Sampras can be a good coach to learn that.
Djokovic (or rather Djokovic's father) just needs to irritate Federer enough that he would much rather see Nadal break his records than see Djokovic get within arm's reach of them lolololYes and even better when Federer retires maybe he can coach or teach RAFA on what he does with his serves.... that might be even better. lol
