Rafa fans and followers. What do you think about his form now?

Got no clue at all just like me?

I see he is doing well in golf tournaments, being in yacht magazines, involved in the Academy and such.

Of the big 3 he is by far the one with most interests and things to do. When he retires he would have no troubles to fill his time.

He is a busy bee.

What about his form? I have not the faintest idea. Has he even been training a lot?
What can we expect?

I’d say he’s in good form to continue winning slams, only thing I’d say is learn how to shave!

I like when he doesn’t shave :p

How do you know about his form? Has Moya said something?

As far as I have understood he is training at the Academy when he is training? And who is his hitting partners?

He is the favorite for the slams this year and the break works in his favor.

His style right now is a nightmare for the majority of the tour, perhaps he need some strategy tweaks when it comes to playing against Thiem and Djokovic on HC.

It’s just that we have no idea which form he is in.
Normally we are getting comments from Moya or someone saying Rafa been working on his serve, shortening points etc. But now it’s very quiet. Wonder what he has been working on, what is happening with him. I know more about his boat(ship) and how his golf skills are at the moment.

I’m just going off of what I saw from the end of 2019 and into 2020. Granted Nadal doesn’t get good results at the Australian Open but if lockdown didn’t happen I bet Nadal would have won a French Open by now and would be gearing up for hopefully another USO.

After his "loaded" end of the season (Davis Cup victory), it was a mistake for Nadal and his technical staff that he played the ATP Cup, an unnecessary wear that cost him dearly in the AO.

I don’t want to be pessimistic as I am a Nadal mega fan, but I didn’t expect him to win, even without playing the ATP cup.

I'm actually happy there's been a break for him these last few months (obviously rather avoid Covid altogether)

He didnt get the break after 2019. Each time he gets a good break, he comes back stronger and fresher.

Plus this time, the whole tour will also have to do a comeback, not just him, normally when it's just him coming back he does well, this time everyone will be rusty so he should be even better.

Unlike previous years, he hasn't taken a break because of injury, and he took a break whilst he was playing top tennis so he should be confident coming back.
