Rafa Shoe Testing in Madrid Practice

Upon watching the video again, it kind of looks like the shoe has a glove around... as in to be protecting the shoe from getting dirty (probably not the case, however).
What do y'all think?

The front looks heavily similar to the lunar ballistics as it has that large swoosh logo in the tip of the shoe.

Almost looks laceless. Similar sole and heel tab as his old custom cage 3 endorsing shoes
yea, looks like there is a zipper doesn't it?

New ballistec model?
and yea, looks like Lunarballistec, except it might only be that way because it is almost "programmed" in our minds to think that since the LB's have been the only shoe to have the swoosh that big... won't call it LB until they say it is (though I'm with y'all on this)

Interesting shoe....

- almost no lateral outrigger?

- zippered / cowl upper instead of laces or in addition to laces?

- looks like there is quite a bit of extra shoe under the zippered / cowl upper (thick tongue etc etc). Maybe not what a retail version of this shoe would like like?

- Breathability?

It's just like the car manufacturers using camouflage to disguise what a new model car looks like. Shoe companies are starting to use it.

The design of shoes is nice. Glove can block dirt/sand stick to surface of cage 3 and might be easy to clean.
Not a big fan of shoe graphic since it’s from courtballistec 2.3. Probably Nike admits that CB 2.3 is the GOAT of CB line.

clean aesthetic but with darker colourways such as black the shoe is going to run very hot, especially on hardcourts in summer which can really get uncomfortable. With the design it's literally an overlay on a normal zoom vapor/cage 3. Imo not that useful especially since the outer layer doesn't seem to be waterproof or anything, and if it was then again the shoe would run very hot

Not sure what the benefit is of a glove like build except for cleaning etc? I mean the feet will run hotter and shoe will feel bulkier. Perhaps I am wrong but that was my first thought. Would love for someone to give feedback once they try it.

I think it would be the 4.3. Nadal won the most number if slams in that one and I'm sure it would have affected sales in a positive manner for Nike. I personally saw it the most too everywhere I went (not a very scientific observation, I know).

Agreed, 4.3 was the best iteration with Max Air, slightly refined over the 1.3 and 2.3 sole, but the upper was way better than the 3.3 that was stiff, tight, and had offset lacing. Some great colors too.
