If he makes it to the final in Barca, he'll be 1 point ahead of Roge
So....that might be a fairly accurate forecast of the upcoming Nadal domination...muahahahhahaha :-D Just kiddin, cause after all Roge is the best in the history, no?
Will you give us 1 $ if Nadal is no. 1 in the end of the year?
He will be very lucky if he gets into Wimbledon final again this year. =)
I want 10. It's a riskier bet
how bout you give everyone a dollar if nadal makes it to the finals at roland garros?
So? That's just the race, not the ATP Rankings. The race will fluxuate much more often than the actual rankings will.
Nadal will most likely win Roland Garros again, thus placing him ontop of Roger but when Wimbledon comes around, everyone knows who's going to dominate. Plus the US Open. Nadals reign will be short but sweet.
sounds good..and oh did i tell u i love your sig...
He's done it!!! He's in the final Mary and he'll also be #1 in the Race starting Monday. ...next up: #1 in yearly Rankings
In the race, but not in the rankings.
good for you
question is, will he still be ahead of roger after the clay season? unoikely, roger will kill on grass, youzhny, berdy, blake, and a few others will be ready to own rafa on hard, but rafa will def be number 2.
If Nadal wins Rome, and Roland Garros... his reign in the race will be a little longer, specially since Federer didn't win Indian Wells nor Miami. That will give Nadal 3 MS and a slam, and Federer only one slam.
And that's only if Nadal doesn't play Hamburg, which he could win too.
Maybe after Wimby, Federer can be closer, but in the race, I think 3 MS are just a little better than one slam. Isn't like 100 points for a MS, but 200 for a Slam and 140 for a slam finalist?
Yeah but I think Rafa will stick to his tried and tested clay schedule and not play Hamburg, while Federer will likely win it. Wimbledon will be very interesting this year. I expect Nadal to lose in the 4th-SF depending on his opponents. Though it would be awesome if he can meet Federer in the final!
I don't think Federer will play Hamburg, though.
He will if Rafa does.
And if they both do, Nadal will win again
Apparently I checked and he's right. He is number one in the race points. Really nice but it doesn't count as number one for me because he isn't in the lead in the overall rankings. But so far Nadal is having a good season, Fed has the Aussie and if Nadal gets the French his year would be better by that point. Until the grass comes. It was sweet for a little while.
No doubt. I could see him possibly loose a lot of points there. His hold on 2nd is so huge though it might not even effect him because he's got next to nothing to defend in the summer/fall.
