Rafa will break consecutive top 10 ranking record

As of now, I believe it is mathematically impossible for Nadal to be passed in the rankings by 9 players in the next 10 weeks. Because of this, Nadal will overtake the record for most consecutive time in the top 10 from Jimmy Connors (currently sitting at 788 weeks). Nadal doesn't seem keen on stopping his dominance over the field anytime soon, so I see this record going beyond 800 weeks easily, I'd give a good chance at 900 weeks, and if he can muster up another 4.3 years of top play, Nadal will hit 4 digits in this record.

Congrats Rafa! An astounding achievement that's unparalleled by anyone else in the sport - even more astounding that it was done by the Big 3 member with the most injuries. Well done!

Very impressive achievement. I would have thought he’d be the least likely of the Big 3 to break the record. Dammit 2016 Fed!

Are you serious?

Pandemic.

Might be an asterisk.
You expected him to drop to #11 during clay season this year? He was getting this record one way or another, pandemic or no pandemic. A pandemic doesn't give you the ability to asterisk everything. This record is legit, coming from a Novak fan first and a Fed fan second.

Another very impressive longevity record for Rafa.

Well, the asterisk on his achievements is much greater than anything that 2020 or beyond could bring, as we know.

No other player was afforded the routine recuperative breaks taken by Nadal over the entirety of his career.

Pretty straightforward.

That's a great achievement indeed. He came close to falling out of the top 10 in the middle of 2015 but he held on. Another record in the column for Nadal.

This is the kind of stuff you can just appreciate and tip your hat. This is the kind of stuff Rafa is one of big3 and a GOAT contender. Some amazing stats.

For Djok/Fed fans - yeah, Fed is 237, yeah, Novak will have 310+, but there's no reason to disrespect Rafa's top10 records.
