Rafael Nadal aims to be in "perfect" condition in 2012

I'm sorry but these words sound hollow from Rafael Nadal. He's said the same things at least 5 times during every break he's had this year.

Despite all this, he's changed nothing in his game. NOT A SINGLE THING. He's using the same ultra defensive moonballing tactics that could have worked 5 years ago.

Anyway, 2012 could be a lot lot worse than 2011, unless Nadal works smart and does a fundamental rethink of strategy.

And yes, it will likely involve hard decisions, some of which might not have an immediate payoff. That is, things may get worse before they become better. I would be surprised if Nadal won a slam next year..

I agree, Nadal repeats this " I work hard, will come back" theme everytime. Now it's "every morning and afternoon" too.

Big mouths like Clarky on these boards cant help but go back to Federer and what he has won as if it make any difference what year Federer has had when we talk about Nadal. He was able to beat Murray and Djoker to get to final last year and now all they can think of is this vague "strategy" to explain his losses.

We dont know how hard he is really working, but it seems like he just mumble those words for the press because he thinks that's what they and his fans want to hear. If anything, he has showed worse performance since he spoke those words last.

If his words are hollow, and he does nothing to change his game then he's finished. We will just have to wait and see if he does anything differently next year. I'm not holdng my breath, but we will see.

IMO next year will be super competitive with each of the top 4 players winning a slam.

AO Federer
FO Nadal
Wimbledon Murray
USO Novak

No matter how much Nadal trains, he won't dominate again.

A humble person does not grimace in anguish every time his opponent hits a winner which he had no chance on. Those grimaces reveal that he feels he has the right to win every point and should win every point because he is god's gift to tennis. Then off the court, "oh Roger is the best of all time". He just blurts it out without even being asked. The lack of sincerity is appalling. If you can't read between the lines there just because your head is stuck up Nadal's asss, then I feel sorry for you.

Lol, no, that is not what it reveals, except to delusional people like you. It just reveals he wants to win and isn't pleased when he doesn't.

Agree, but can't say either that I blame him for not doing it (at least yet...). After all, it's the game that has brought him success even against most competition this year. And should have against Novak at the beginning of the year too, for that matter.

The truth is that only Slams count in tennis, and he has won 1, Djokovic 3, and Federer nil this year. Whatever Federer does in the WTF is like, WTF. The important matches have already been played and Nadal did well where it counted. The late season is like a consolation prize for people who haven't done well at the important moments.

Then why does Nadsypants keep showing up for the WTF ???

Look carefully ...

I think the Nadal's ship has already sailed
