Rafael Nadal - Amazing Longevity

Rafa is the first player in the Open Era, male or female, to win multiple Grand Slam titles in three different decades.

I was just going to post this. Critics said Nadal would only last a few years, but he’s now the only player to win at least two majors in three different decades—2000s, 2010s, and 2020s.

Djokovic actually can’t do this because he only won one slam in the 2000s, so it’s a difficult stat to replicate. We might not see anyone join Rafa in this group for a long while.

Rafa won his first tournament in 2004 and has won 2 so far in 2022, I believe that's an Open era record of winning at least 1 tournament every year (04-2022) for 19 consecutive years (and counting). Plus with these 2 wins this year already a record 18 consecutive years of at least 2 tournament victories in a calendar year.

It's a cool stat, especially because he had two slams by 2006 - kind of in the middle, not at the end of the decade as 2009 would be. It's a long span from first to last, which could get even longer.
