If he serves like Karlovic this wont be a contest

This is actually a great point. If somehow a tall guy can work on his serve so much that he gets the leverage, angle and control of a ridiculously tall guy....and still have good movement and devastating groundstrokes and passable finishing skills....and stay uninjured...he could beat the best sometimes.

This will be a war. Rafa in tres.

I just hope Delpo makes it competitive, his serve is not yet there and has been pretty much inconsistent, Rafa didn't show his best yet but he is #1 afterall and will raise his game in this late stage.

del potro needs to be ON FIRE to pull of an upset here. i kind of hope he does not because i'm not a rafa fan, but because that would be huge for his confidence.

i would be satisfied having Nadal trip on his clunky feet and crack his head on the floor...
(j\k)

with that said, Vamos Delpo.. a sacar-le los calzones del orto!

Actually it's the other way round. Nadal has been meh since his return and delpo is getting better and better. Plus Delpo is a bad matchup for Rafa. Juan said he was a bit tired and it could have worked against him but he got lucky with the robredo situation and got to rest almost two days.

Based on current form and matchup, not on how they are ranked, Delpo is fav in the battle of the vamos.

So far we haven't heard any preemptive excuse from Rafa about any flu, fever, excessive sweating or making point of the fact he is tired after playing a "3 setter", walking side to side to "return" Ivo's serves so it's going good so far. Let's see...

I really hope that they are both on fire tonight and that Rafa prevails so people can be silenced a bit, but Rafa played quiet poorly last night so i'm worried. The serve is just....

I really hate when Rafa loses badly, meaning that he's made to look like an amateur while losing. if you're going to lose please lose with a fight rafa. But I believe he can win.

Rafa in 2 if he's on.

Del Potro has only ever beat Nadal in 2009. There is a school of thought that regular Nadal won't lose to Del Potro. Makes this match very interesting

I think Rafa set a new personal serving record vs Karlovic. Rafa won 84% of 2nd serves.

just wait and see if delpo happens to steamroll him on the first set, by the time he reaches 4-1, i'l be damned for life if Rafaeker doesnt call the doctor in! only to start rolling and runnig like greyhound in the court again!

The match will be shown on ABC television in the States. There are also supposed to be links available through www.livescorehunter.com, though I don't know yet if they'll all be betting site links, which are impossible to get in the US for some reason.

You can also shell out $20 to watch that match plus the Fed/Djoker match and the Fed/Wawa doubles match via: http://www.tennistv.com/page/Live/0,,11444,00.html?WT.mc_id=RafaOff

That's the best I've come up with thus far! Between all of us, more possibilities may arise as we get closer to the start time.

If Delpo serves well I think that will give Nadal alot of trouble. Yes, he did just face Ivo so any serve is going to be slow compared to him, but Delpo has a huge backcourt game.

I looked on my TV guide and it doesn't look like the match is on any major networks.. What gives?

NVM i found it

Is there an ABC in Canada?
Anyway, there definitely is in the USA, and here on the left coast it's chanel 7 KABC -- semi starting in 30 mins ...
