Rafael Nadal gives positive injury update and reacts to ‘strange’ Novak Djokovic fightback

LMAO I missed this thread in the a.m.

Oh, I see the Kokk has a thread too. Some of you should be ashamed for ganging up on me yesterday for sharing similar thoughts as Novak's colleagues

Guys, possumovic got himself into this mess with his history of faking. I read another poster saying boy who cried wolf, and it's totally that.

LMAO, Nadal saying what any person who actually watched the match from an unbiased perspective was thinking, Novak DID look normal during most points in the 5th set. Hitting a bunch of winners/aces and winning most of the long points. We'll find out if that was due to just adrenaline/painkillers, or his injury not being that severe, during the next match. If he plays and wins his next match his injury is obviously not that severe.

Bunch of hypocritical whiners on this board as per usual. "oh my god how could Nadal say this when he fakes all his injuries" This is the most unironic admission that you're a bunch of ****ing hypocritical idiots

Not sure what the problem is. Nadal did not say Novak was faking.
He just said the match was very unusual and in the 3rd/4th set Novak wasn't playing well and looked like he may retire. But in the 5th Novak played good and won. Well done to him.

That's literally what Nadal said. Isn't that what happened? He is congratulating Novak and said well done to him. But that the match was unusual. What's wrong with that?
What you're saying is exactly correct. Some Djokovic fans are being a bunch of biased idiots who think Nadal fakes a bunch of his injuries and Novak never plays possum showing their hypocrisy x1000.

He had excuses prepared for when he needed them. Put less pressure on himself. I’ll give Rafa one thing, his psychology is second to none.
So Rafa needed an excuse in the 1st 3 rounds when he was unlikely to be challenged and just as he’s coming into the business end of his quarter he’s decided he no longer needs the excuse because he’s going to walk it from now on?

Strange logic.

Well said, it's galaxy brain thinking. I guess he also skipped practice sessions, and served 10mph slower, all just to play tricks on the great Mmoh and Norrie.

We all know what he really means here, the implication is clear as day. But I can't blame him, even I am not sure what to think anymore
