Rafael Nadal has pulled out of Laver Cup 2024

he’s practicing but he’s probably still playing like s#@!. thats my take. no different than all the hard court tournaments before the clay season he kept withdrawing from
 
I wish what I am about to say isn't true but I am afraid Rafa has moved countries and now lives in.....

Hope there aren’t any fans who bought tickets to the Laver Cup only to see Nadal play. They should be used to his last-minute pullouts by now.

again i find djoko fans salivating at what may be Rafa's last singles match very touching!

to be honest i find their Rafa -djoko GS h2h very fitting! my man gave us all we needed in big matches
 
Rafa can do whatever he wants. I hope he squeezes every drop out but it's all up to him. He's an old man in his 23rd season and he owes nothing to nobody and anyone buying tickets to see Rafa knows they are playing a game of roulette and that has been the case for years.
 
This is very odd, why is he acting like the Laver Cup was ever picked based on level anyway? They got Fed out of his wheelchair to play in the same event as my boy Andy lol. And I can’t see the downside to him playing a few matches; they’re basically exhos anyway… is he injured again?

Why even stay on tour if all you do is pull out of tournaments LOL. This is a little ridiculous already. Retire already. It’s also pointless if you’re Rafa staying on tour if you aren’t in contention to add to your slam count.

I think what he means is that the last match Sampras ever played in his career was the 2002 USO final. He walked away on a high although he didn't announce his retirement until a year later. He was already unofficially retired though.

Great decision by Nadal. I always felt the Laver Cup was unnecessary.
 
Well, he is doing exactly what Federer did, he sold some super expensive tickets for a tournament he wasn't going to play in the first place. He basically cheated his own fans, lol. And this wasn't the first time he did that, and probably not the last time. Fool me once... fool me twice, lol...

Everyone knows the truth, that Nadal is basically a retired player, who is making some more money, doing his sponsors obligations. But, if someone don't want to accept the truth, he shouldn't cry when he gets expensive tickets to see Rafa just to not see him, lol.

Djokovic Is Still world class (top 5) but I can’t see him winning a slam next year, Competition (Sincaraz) is just growing in power and strength while Djokovic is declining rapidly after an already slamless season. Djokovic already had the draw open up like a flower at Wimbledon and he got outclassed by Baby Pre-prime Raz.

He doesn’t have to win another slam for me. Even being healthy, competing in slams and winning smaller events. That is much better than how Fedal ended. That would be a big win for Djokovic and his fans and considering he has the slam record the pressure is off him now.

Some are I agree. Some Djokovic fans think he can walk on water and will continue to defy Father Time and logic. However, I’m just more of a realist and he’s already exceeded all my expectations. I didn’t think he’d get to 20 slams a few years ago.

The fact he’s coming up 38 to even still seeing him competing is already an incredible achievement. If he wins anything itis a bonus now.

He is saving his strength for the Arabia Slam, where there will be hellish competition and a golden premium. I also wouldn't risk an injury at the Roger Cup and lose my Arab Slam because of it.
