This is the first match on Monday for Group B.

Who's going to win in this re-match of the 4th round match at Roland Garros?

I think you will all find the poll very balanced and fair :)

Soderling defeats Nadal 6-0 6-0 6-0.

Nadal was getting beaten so badly that he demanded to play another set, and was promptly handed another bagel.

Soderling laughed heartily and beat his chest.

Nadal complained that he was injured, and drakulie ran onto the court and shouted "YOU LIE!!!!"

Soderling played lefty during the match.

Nadal in 2 sets. The overrated Soderling is exposed yet again.
I could see someone saying, "The overrated Soderling will be exposed yet again." I don't see how he's been exposed already. Anything could happen. I doubt Soderling will win (despite my joking prediction), but it's tennis. You can never write anyone off. Keep in mind Soderling's a lot better indoors than he is on clay.

Basically what I'm saying is I hope Nadal loses so you can look like even more of an idiot than you already do.

Nadal seems not to be like hisself lately so i am pretty sure that he will have to struggle with Soderling. Yet i think Soderling will win :)

Soderling has a great chance. Indoor is his best surface as he says himself, he grew up playing indoors in Sweden. And I think that he'll be very focussed for this match and that's when he's at his most dangerous. The way Nadal hits those big loopy forehands, they'll just sit up perfectly for Soderling to pummell with the forehand. If he serves well he wins I reckon

Soderling should win; he is in pretty good form right now (despite the horrendous match against Djokovic, but that's just because they match up badly against eachother), and his huge game is much better for the indoor surface.

He also always seems to play very well against Nadal (even in Rome, the scoreline was very deceptive and it was quite an entertaining match to watch).

hahaha, I just realize how aptly named the round ROBIN is for Soderling.

:)

Nadal lost to Soderling, for the most part, in Paris because he hit most balls too short.

If he can hit deep, like he did against Tsonga in Paris indoors and against Monfils in New York at the Open- then he should have a good chance to beat Soderling.

It's time for the clay court king to hand out a free hard court tennis lesson to soderman.

I hope soderman isn't so beaten down that he forgets to take some notes during the changeovers. Bring a pad and pen and use the changeovers wisely soderman. :)

Folks, I would appreciate it if anyone posted any news articles about how soderling plans on taking notes on his notepad during changeovers while receiving a hardcourt tennis lesson from the reigning AO champion.

Thanks!

Just like Nadal will be taking clay court lessons from the reigning FO finalist.:)

No, but I thought he was a kewl poster and unfairly vilified on TW. :)
He was a terrible poster, I hated him. He wasn't funny, he wasn't objective, he was a crap poster. I like your posts, but if you truly think he was a decent poster you are either biased or haven't read his posts.

Are they really friends now? Macenro would not agree with that- he always liked to distance himself a bit from his opponent

President, but at that point you might as well be getting a tennis lesson from martin verkerk. Does anyone want a tennis lesson from martin verkerk? I think not, I would put away my notepad during that match. :)

Yep, and Nadal is worse when he plays indoors. I like Sod, I hope he repeats his kickass performance here too.

The court is slow and high bouncing.

You would think this would be a big advantage to Nadal, but against Soderling I don't see it as that.

Soderling is the best high ball striker off the forehand side on tour.

Should be a good match.

This is the match where Rafa needs to use an effective slice BH to Soderling's FH. Lopez exposed that weakness big time.

The court surface is very rough. Therefore slices and dropshots will die and topspin will bounce high.

Rafa needs to use his head in this match.

Couldn't agree with you more. I was glad to see him in the stadium today watching the Murray/Del Potro match. He certainly seems interested in learning, and so let's hope he's going to apply it all tomorrow.

At this moment Nadal is a wildcard, he has certainly looked less than stellar as of lately, faltering when the stakes were top 10 sized. It is hard to picture him going beyond the Round Robin

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

I'm going with Robin. He has nothing to lose and can blast away. Of course it would be better if he had another match to work his way in 1st - could have a case of Tennis Masters Cup (oops, WTF!) nerves and stink it up.

I agree 100% - I think making it to the SF and losing would be a great result for him and doubt it will happen. Rafa fans can get grumpy - but it's the truth based on his performances this fall...

If anyone can get the prize playing in this environment then good luck to them because it is more like caged animals performing in a circus. I cannot take this tournament seriously after watching the first "act" yesterday. Oh well - bring on the trapeze artists today.

I don't care for the theatrics/lighting, either.
