Level of Djokodal
Djokovic AO 16
Djokovic AO 11
Djokovic AO 08/Nadal AO 09 (Can't decide, need to re-watch Djokovic-Federer 2008)
Nadal AO 12
Nadal AO 14
Djokovic AO 20

Level of Fed
Federer AO 09
Federer AO 12
Federer AO 11
Federer AO 08
Federer AO 16
Federer AO 14
Federer AO 20

Most impressive IMO
Nadal AO 09 (Nuff said)
Djokovic AO 08 (Straight sets defending champion coming off dominant season. I know MONO, but still a big deal)
Djokovic AO 11 (Straight sets a relatively decent Fed)
Nadal AO 12 (Not as dominant as Djokovic but good win over decent Fed)
Djokovic AO 16 (Complete beatdown first 2 sets plus stopping the comeback was impressive)
Nadal AO 14 (Mediocre Fed routined by Nadal. Reasonably high level from Nadal but nothing stand-out)
Djokovic AO 20 (Fed shouldn't have even reached the SF. Djokovic required nothing special to beat him)

The 2014 and 2020 matches were completely forgettable IMO. The others are all relatively entertaining to various degrees. 2009 obviously a cut above but 08, 11 and 12 had good play from both players. 2016 has the insane domination from Djokovic set 1 and 2 plus a good 3rd set showing from Fed to keep things interesting. Just my two cents

Based on what?

Dominance?
Quality?
Importance of the match?

Quality: must be AO 09 final
Dominance: AO 16 seems to be, though Fed won a set.
Importance: AO 08.

So we've established that Djokodal could only start winning AOs once Federer started contracting mono, AIDS, injured back, lost eyesight, early onset etc.

Marat GOAT and BOAT, good night.

And sure while Safin's "win" was still a moral victory for Federer due to blisters on the foot or back or something, since Fed was not suffering from epileptic seizures or deadly immunodeficiencies during the match, I'm afraid such a "victory" would still be well out of the question for Djokodal.

Don't forget syphilis and the Black Death (the former being the more devastating to Fed's level of play).

Though I suppose Safin would have been more likely to contract it.

Safin USO 00 final >> Nadal USO 10 final yes?

09>11>the rest

08 is historically relevant being the first time in ages Fed lost to not-Nadal in slams but then there's the whole sickness of the MONO thing
also historically relevant because it was the first time in three years he lost a GS match on a surface other than clay, and because it paved the way for Djokovic's first GS
