pretty much agree with this list......2010 was a pure spectacle and 2013 was incredible obviously, 2017 was the weakest scalp and 2019 just about ok with med spicing up things at the end......i would rate 2011 much higher than that though, somewhere around 4th or 5th, just for the simple reason of wrestling past fed and rafa in the semis and final.......out of fed's titles, will probably rate his 2007 title the best when he looked sharp in putting away roddick and red hot djokovic......

I think what really sticks out here is how much their best wins have sucked at this slam vs their best wins at other slams.

  • 2004 Fed? Was taken to 5 by Oldgassi and his competition in the F was Hewitt.
  • 2010 Nadal? Got kinda preprime Djokovic and literally no-one else to speak of
  • 2011 Djokovic? Relied on Post Prime Fed choking hard on MP #2 in the SF

There’s just nothing here where you can say they convincingly got through a draw that involved beating another ATG who was in their prime AND playing well at the same time. Nadal beat prime Djoker in 13 but that guy made 50+ UEs and nearly took the 3rd set. Djoker beat prime Rafa in ‘11 but nearly got knocked out by Ole Rog. Fed didn’t really have any ATG competition that wasn’t very young or very old

Anyway. Based on how I think the matches would actually go, here’s my tier list based on LEVEL, although I don’t really trust anyone on it:

  1. Nadal 2010 (matchup + serve vs Fed; would be very close with 2011 Djokovic, but I put him ahead of the latter because…)
  2. Federer 2004 (…I can’t see Djokovic beating prime Fed at the US Open at all).
  3. Federer 2006
  4. Federer 2007
  5. Federer 2005 (these guys all beat the Djoker versions below)
  6. Djokovic 2011
  7. Djokovic 2015
  8. Federer 2008 (don’t really know at all here)
  9. Nadal 2013 (the only thing I know is that this guy belongs below the 2 Djokovic versions here, who were well clear of his UEfest 2013 self)
  10. Djokovic 2018 = Nadal 2017 (idgaf at this point)
Now in terms of impressiveness:

  1. Djokovic 2011 (obviously)
  2. Federer 2007 (dominance + level combo, in that he beat a bunch of players playing fairly well, and did so in straight sets)
  3. Federer 2004 = Federer 2005 = Djokovic 2015 (dealt with older dudes, not that convincingly, but to be fair those older dudes played well)
  4. Nadal 2010, Federer 2006 (yeah they dominated, but look at the opposition)
  5. Nadal 2013
  6. Federer 2008
  7. Don’t care

08 Fed should be beating 11 USO Joe in 4, and would need a large mental choke (even larger than 09 AO) to lose to Ned. So I don't see them in the same tier levelwise.

The dude who had just lost 2 slams in a row to Ned including 1 in his house would do better against a fresh Ned (with a bigger serve) than the guy who couldn’t even finish off a knackered Ned who’d had a 5 hour SF?

Fed's USO 08 SF/F level higher than 10 USO nadal/11 USO Djoko though not a seperate tier IMO.
I put them at same level due to the 5-setter vs Andreev (even if in 4th round)

The physical toll of the Spanish moonballing fiesta is greatly overstated. Similar to 09 Madrid.

2010 Rafa-- didn't drop a set until the final, thanks to bombing 130+ mph serves. The announcers said that his first serve had improved by 7 mph on average. He beat Djoker convincingly in the final, despite blinking a few times. He had 25 BP opportunities to 4 for Djoker.
2004 Roger-- Fed's final was the best. However, the rest of the tourney doesn't stack up to Nadal's best
2006 Roger- This is Roger's 2nd best USO and he was quite good
2011 Novak--I don't see this Djoker beating the above 3 years; not when 2011 Fed was right there with him.

The guy who beat well playing Fraud + prime Ned in a row should obviously get the nod here... at least when we're comparing that to beating Roddicks, Hewitts and Spadeas of the world.

Somebody rank the rest of the runs 2000-2003 and 2009 + 2021-2022 assuming nobody cares about Thiem's :censored:

You can put 09/11 Federer on same level as 11/13, 15 federer > any winner since 2017

There is no points to threads anymore. Too much bias by fedal fans as Nole now has ALL the records they had before.

Sad but it is what it is. Now we don't need to worry about fedal fans opinion. Tbh we never had to worry about Nadal fans opinion.

Roger was very, very lucky not to meet Rafa in the finals in 2010. A bagel could easily have been served that day.
