Given how often they keep proving us wrong (and not in a good way), I’m not gonna bother ranking them lol

Anyone remember that early-2019 stretch when Khachanov started picking up a bit of hype after his Masters win?

The rest I just don't see as future ATG's or anywhere close.

Thiem and Zverev may win 2 slams each eventually. Toni must see something in FAA many others don't see, he may pan out in a few years, Toni's no fool. It's also early days for Denis and Korda.

It was only late 2018 when it happened. As soon as 2019 started he was a disaster. There was some hope for him in Australia but he fell on his face there and that was pretty much the end of it.

Shapovalov has massive amounts of talent. His FH is one of the best in the game and could go down as an ATG shot. It's one of those shots that can end points at will (when he's not overplaying), much like Verdasco or even Fed. BH looks about as robust as you can get for a one-hander. Can't imagine opponents exploiting the Shapo BH with much success. He's got a big lefty serve which can take him far when he's not at his best. Net game is unquestionably a few notches above his competition. His return is average, not a strength or a weakness. He doesn't slice much, but it's still a technically sound shot.
Overall, he's got the kind of game that could win him 7+ Slams and put him well into ATG territory IMO. But right now his problem is that he overplays too much to be consistent. If he reins in the aggression just a little and becomes more comfortable with winning ugly....sky's the limit.
The next big thing or the next big "what if" story...it's in his hands.

I agree and I hope for great things from him in the future. But mentally I find him very suspect (hoping that will change). There's been tons of really talented players like Leconte or Monfils who never lived up to their talent level due to their lack of mental strength. No doubt Shapo is wildly talented, he just needs point construction and cut way back on the erratic play.

I really don’t know what to answer.
I am not so much bought into any of them.
I think I need more time.

I truly can't decide on who is going to better over the other, they might be the complete opposite too. We just gotta see how their careers turn out

Zverev is either going to be 1 or near the bottom of the pack; looks like the latter at this stage.

Medvedev and Tsitsipas should get a slam or two each, and Sinner should also be there or thereabouts with his consistency and big hitting, ala Berdych.

I'd put Rublev just above Sinner, as he's further along the path, has a better serve, and is better at playing aggressively and dictating with his forehand.

Korda looks a great prospect with the ideal modern game, but all of these guys have looked like that at one point or another, and he has no runs on the board yet. So I'd say middle of the pack for him based on the info available.

I'm not sure Shapovalov will ever figure it out, because he's shown very little progression these last couple of seasons.

FAA has all the tools, but can't seem to make the jump to the elite level. Seems he needs to add more nuance and consistency to his game. Toni Nadal may be able to do that.

Thiem already peaked.

I think Korda is the huge wildcard though because his breakthrough was so recent.

How many of these young players will win more Slams in their careers than Djokovic and Nadal will win in the future? I think Nadal and Djokovic together will win at least five Slams in the future and I see only Sinner and Tsitsipas as players with a chance to exceed five Slams each. If Zverev fixed his second serve issues (Big If!), he might have a shot also.

I think that Ruud belongs in the list of young players with good potential also.
