If you feel like it, please rank these dudes in terms of career success when all is said and done: Zverev, FAA, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, and Sinner. Feel free to throw in some other guys if you please. Just curious about the consensus on here. Thanks!
Mine: 1. Sinner 2. Tsitsipas 3. Medvedev 4. FAA 5. Zverev (very close between these last two serve strugglers)

Just a wild guess. Zverev will move up if he can fix service yips.

Change to:
1. Zverev
2. Sinner
3. Medvedev
4. Tsitsipas
5. FAA

Aliassime will never win anything of note in my opinion. Even 1 Masters title is doubtful.

Sinner is too early to tell.
Have you ever thought about joining SGTIZ (Selective Group [of favorite tennis players] That Includes Zverev)?

FAA has yet to prove himself at a grand slams and his game appears to error prone/inconsistent for my liking, whereas Med has reached a final and Stef and Zverev have reach SF's. I feel like Sinner has huge potential but its too early too tell. Definitely has the game to be a future ATG.

Horrible choker mentality. Even Tennys Sandgren is more reliable in pressure moments.

No recency bias there? That match just took place. Couldn’t overcome the boatload of double faults. Same with Zverev against Murray. I assume they will both fix that to some degree or they might jump off a bridge together.

Man, I feel bad ranking Zverev so low, but it had to be done seeing him have service yips against Andy. I think anyone else on that list would have served out the match.

How many sets this guy won in his 5 tour-level finals? And it’s not like he was playing the bane of NextGens himself, Nadal, in these, like Tsitsipas in his first two.

Choke against Sandgren is recent, but the trend is already pretty visible. Huge mentality improvements throughout career are rare.

5. Sinner (never heard of him gonna be honest)

Zverev will be better when it’s all said and done, but for now Medvedev is better

But he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I don’t know what’s up with these guys. I’m not particuly intelligent but I can go out with a bucket of balls and fix my serve enough to not hit double faults. Though, of course, there’s no crowd pressure on me.

People ranking Zverev low are gonna be like the jabronis who ranked Roddick above Fed back in the day

Don't worry about FAA - he is going to be fine. There are examples of players working out service yips much later in their career than he is fixing things. He has so many weapons that I think shot selection is still an issue for him as well. But once he works those two things out, the sky is the limit. He is an incredible mover and hits with power and efficiency. Pretty much the archetypal build for modern tennis, too.

Could we stop with the hype shaming. Unless you’re saying that Sinner regularly checks this board and it could lead to a hype induced nervous breakdown. In that case, we should stop.
No, it is not necessary. Especially when they don't deserve the hype. Hype shaming is a good thing.

I couldn't care less how successful they may or may not be. In order of least to most boring:

1. Tsitsipas
2. Sinner
3. Zverev
4. FAA
5. Medvedev

In terms of career success? Easy:

1. Zverev: 11 titles including 1 WTF and 3 Masters.
2. Medvedev: 7 titles including 2 Masters. 1 Slam final.
3. Tsitsipas: 5 titles including 1 WTF.
4. FAA: 5 finals including 2 at 500 level, 3 at 250 level.
5. Sinner: 1 ATP Tour Finals NextGen title.

How do you think they will be ranked when the dust settles on their careers? Will it be in a similar order?

1) Tsitsipas - Two years younger than Medvedev and near his level. He has room for improve. I see him as the next ATG and probably best player in '20s.
2) Sinner - Too early too call, he can be easily the best or the worst of this group.
3) Zverev - He had very interesting results very early. Then he had some (mental?) troubles. I can see him improve, but I don't know if he can be an ATG.
4) Medvedev - He's 24, he's probably almost peaking right now. He will probably improve slightly in next 3-4 years and then slowly decline. Future slam 1/2 GS winner.
5) FAA - I have to see him more. But his game seems too one-dimensional to be great. Probably a big contender at Wimbledon next years.

I guess every board needs a scold. But Sinner isn’t 12 years old. He won the Next Gen thing at age 18 (I think) by toasting Deminaur. Youngest top 100 player. No stretch of the imagination to see him as the future best of the group. Not too late to join the hype train. Choo choo!
I hate to do this... But the De Minaur hype is trash too. :sneaky: sorry.

Of course. But I will be throwing up and laughing throughout.

What if we told you that the ITF is installing guest chair umpires for the mens and women's finals?

Not sure about Sascha right now, he's too unpredictable for me to make any guess.
