Rank TOP Forehands by their 2015-Level

Murray's forehand this season definitely deserves to mention here. With decline of Fedal and his own recent improvements, I think his forehand is definitely Top 5 this season.

Federer forehand no longer same shot it used to be with PS 90. Beauty, depth, consistency, angles everything has disappeared with bigger racket. He can produce some mad here and there but overall his forehand has permanently hampered.

Rest I agree.

Federer's isn't top 5 in 2015. Murray's FH is definitely more consistent this year.

Honestly I can't believe you put Djoko's FH as the best one.....
He's consistent, sure, and creates some angles but by far not the best, in my opinion.

Rank TOP Forehands by their 2015-Level

My list
1)Djokovic
2)Wawrinka
3)Raonic
4)Federer
5)Berdych
Solid list. Dunno if I'd put Novak at the very top, but I know very many would so it's not very controversial.

Tsonga deserves mention near (or at) the top if he sustains his RG forehand for some while longer. Brutal stuff, very explosive.

Not looking so hot these days on the forehand front is it. The strong forehand era is OVER. DONE. FIN.

We used to have a prime Fedal with Juan Martin of the Horse.

Yep, Djokovic, Murray and Wawrinka, it's the war of backhands right now.

If you want to have any slim chance to beat Djokovic, you gotta attack his forehand and 2nd serves !

And Djokovic-Murray plays aggressive return game while Federer-Nadal plays conservative return games.

Where would Ferrer's rank? He is still n°5 in the race, and it isn't because of his serve and backhand.

It's a bit sad, except for Wawrinka, only Jack Sock has really impressed me with his forehand lately.

Very true. Ferrer and the Sockster are very worthy of mention.

Here's how I'd rank it:

Serve:

1. Karlovic
2. Isner
3. Raonic
4. Kyrgios
5. Federer
6. Tsonga
7. Vesely
8. Groth
9. Muller
10. Monfils

Forehand:

1. Wawrinka
2. Djokovic
3. Tsonga
4. Berdych
5. Sock
6. Raonic
7. Ferrer
8. Klizan
9. Federer
10. Dimitrov (should be higher, but the consistency thing)

Nadal would've been number 1 2 years ago. Something is wrong.

Backhand (this is considering all-around ability - Wawrinka will overpower anyone in the backhand exchanges given time, but he's not as good at redirecting pace as the top 2):

1. Djokovic
2. Nishikori
3. Wawrinka
4. Berdych
5. Murray
6. Gasquet
7. Kohlschrieber
8. Paire
9. Baghdatis
9. Cilic
10. Federer

Gulbis would make the list if he weren't AWOL.

I like the idea of Sock's forehand, the amount of action he gets on it is crazy. Also, is Raonic's forehand really that good? It's solid at best in my opinion.

Federer FH in top 5 in 2015 is hilarious. His FH is no better than someone's like Murray's. He may play one or two matches where the FH is working but is too inconsistent to make it top 5. His serve is what saves his rear nowadays.

Same goes for Nadal in 2015. Some of the FH shanks which is easy putaways and he somehow misses them or hit them too long.

My top 5 FH in 2015:

1) Djokovic - Despite what people says its the business today. One match at RG final dodsnt change that. He has been hitting some ridiculous angled shots this year.
2/3 or 3/2) Berdych/Wawrinka
4) Sock - His FO run is totally due to his FH with the non existent BH
5) Murray
