Milos Raonic and Richard Krajicek have officially parted ways. The Canadian and the 1996 Wimbledon champion started working together this past December, but Raonic confirmed via his Twitter account that their coaching relationship had amicably come to a close.

“My coach, Richard Krajicek, and I have decided to part ways. This decision has been a mutual one,” wrote Raonic. “I would like to thank Richard for his help with my game, his dedication and professionalism. I wish him all the best.”

Perhaps because he's got unrealistic objectives that no coach can really help him achieve ? Raonic is in his prime right now at 26 years of age and while he made some improvements over the years, he still hasn't been able to really win anything outside the 250 level. The last couple of years, he's been consistent and had decent runs in a lot of events, but much like Berdych he's never been able to turn those deep runs into actual titles. Beside his huge serve which isn't as threatening now compared to when he was new on tour, the rest of his game is average at best. He's a big guy and has the movement that comes with it. I think he went as far as he could with the talent/game he's got, but he's always been ambitious. He must believe that with the right coach, he can reach higher levels. That's probably why he's burning through them because they all "fail"? Guess he still hasn't swallowed that Fed stole Ljubicic from him :p

I think you nailed it.

Big and slow, he puts himself out of position so much by insisting on running around his backhand. Granted, his backhand is pretty bad, but he has a good slice he underuses and instead prefers to run around it. He's just not quick enough to pull that off for entire matches.

He has learned better court positioning which I think has helped him but not enough. Ya can't teach speed.

Raonic has hit a ceiling...He's just too slow as compared to the top guys and he's only got ONE weapon...his serve...which is inconsistent and breaks down on important points.

He also tries to run around his backhand too many times...Not sure why

I'm just happy we no longer have to hear about how "the tour is more physical now and players are peaking later." Players like Nishikori and Raonic are peaking at age 25. Just like they have always done.

Raonic is done.
The fact he ever camped in the top 10 for so long blows my mind. He's so one dimensional and lumbering. Even guys like Berdych, Tsonga or Monfils were OK to be in the top 10. They pulled out upsets, won an occasional big match and won some minor tournaments. Raonic? Just robotic and disturbing that someone that limited made it so high in the rankings.

His serve kept him somewhat relevant but you're right, he didn't have any major upsets like Berdych over Fed or Tsonga over Fed for example.

Raonic's peak is frightening. He can beat Federer and Nadal on grass. His I/O fh is one of the greatest shot I have ever seen. His first serve is the most devastating weapon in his arsenal. When it lands successfully, you have no chance whether you are Agut or Steve Darcis. Brisbane O 2016 Final is the best match he has ever played. He is also one of the most stylish players on the tour and wears colourful sleeve on his right arm.

I think Boris B can make him a permanent Top 3 by taking Djokovic out from there.

Miloš is a well rounded and dangerous player,. Very hard working, enormous serve, huge forehand, serviceable BH, very decent at the net. His speed is not on par with top guys, but that's to be expected from a large dude. Court positioning could be a bit better too.
Believe it or not, his biggest let down is between the ears. So many times his biggest weapon let him down at crucial moments. Obviously, it's more pronounced against the top guys, as the pressure is bigger.
I still believe he'll get Wimby at some stage, maybe USO too.

He needs a coach to help him improve his backhand game ...watching him constanly run around it is annoying and often puts himself in terrible positions during rallies, it's his biggest weakness
I also like that he now comes to the net a lot, however ...his hand skills at the net need a lot of improvement
