On a scale of 10 to 10, 10 being stunning.

It would be fair to list the draw he faced

Varillas
Ailing Alcaraz
Khachanov
Ruud
Fuscovics
Fokina
Random guy

Not nearly the same thing. Injuries are part of the sport. Getting the best player banished is part of vulturing.
As if that effects the difficulty of the draw. I imagine what would you be writing had Nadal won AO beating Ruud, doesn't matter who took Djokovic out.

All I said, since Djokovic fans made up this term, they should agree that this is an asterisked slam.
Rafa was not banned to compete...also he would have been in bad form coming in anyway (2-9 record) if he wasn't injured...so that's on Rafa for not resting after season end and picking up an injury

I agree. You are correct. The banning Djokovic from slams was worse in my view. I just saying both guys took advantage of the situation.

Like you say though injuries sadly part of sport whereas politics shouldn’t be.

You don't have to imagine cuz he already won RG beating Ruud, injured Zverev and severely depleted Djokovic.

They are "part of the sport" only when Nadal has them I guess. Every time when Djokovic skips a slam for whatever reason, your fanbase says he was robbed of it. So no need to bring excuses now. Djokovic got lucky in this slam.

If I were a fan of Djokovic I would give him 10, but without the presence of the defending champion, the quality of this edition of the tournament was greatly reduced.

Fair enough but a slam is a slam. He took advantage and that’s what champions do and same for Rafa.

He defeated the only player that there’s a majority consensus will absolutely dominate the tour in the next few years. And people rate this a 3/10? What a joke.

This is clearly a 10/10. Djokovic’s worst major surface, he faced the absolutely toughest opponent available and soundly defeated him and then a final against a 3 time in the last 1.5 years finalist.

You can say weak era all you want but he easily beat the best of whats available at the oldest age for anyone to ever win a RG.

Just Nadal fans who are rating it low for obvious reasons ;)
