hey guys.. i own a yonex rds 001 midplus and a guy recommended me the volkl dnx 10 midplus,...

ppl who tried both rackets .. could u please tell me what u think about it ?

i wanna change my yonex for something with a bit more power.. but same control and stability...
i tried the 6.1 95 and didnt work for me.. to powerful...
what do u guys think about it ?

I have had both, and they are quite different. The DNX will def. have more pop, as well as better slice (in my testing). However, I did experience slightly less top. Serving was mixed, because I could get more pace from the yonex, but my opponents said that I disguised my serve more effectively with the Volkl.

I've also played with both. I found the DNX much stiffer feeling than the RDS 001, and the RDS 001 was much quicker through the air. The DNX felt more stable and worked better for flat shots, probably due to the denser string pattern. Just my two cents.

About the only frame I have found that is close to the RDS 001 MP in terms of providing the perfect mix of comfort, power and control is the Pro Kennex 5g. Both are classic designs that will stand the test of time. I have always found Volkl frames to be stiff and tinny, except for the wonderful C10 Pro frames. To intercept the flamers, I haven't used any of the Volkl 10 series frames other than the Pros.

blah, that's no good. i was looking into the DNX too because it had a lower RA rating, but if feels stiffer my elbow is not going to like it

if you use a soft string and string at a lower tension, it should be fine. if you're worried about your elbow, i'd suggest something from pro kennex. they have the most arm friendly racquets out there.

i have a pair of dnx10mp that i got from a touring pro. agent persuaded him to switch to becker 11. he told me that the stick works better in lower tensions due to dense pattern. the sticks are heavily tinkered, one with double layers of babolat lead inside throat and the other, i thought it was stock, but i discovered there was lead at higher pallet (what ppl here call the cauthen method)

one other interesting fact is that, dnx10mp got the highest control rating of 88 points, among reviews made by TW crew, only second to PS85 -at 90. And dnx10 is a midplus, not an 85sq inch mid :) Getting such high control review from TW is exceptionally good, which the stick shows.

One thing I dont like about dnx10, is the grip shape...
