I thought Lennon had more impact on the Beatles's immense success.

Lol who corresponds to who isn't my point.

Playing devil's advocate, someone could argue that McCartney had much longer term success.

... Or that maybe the Stones would be a better analogy!

So a player at 30 is old (I strongly disagree)...

Wins in a slam final or semifinal over a 23-29 year old

- 3 slam champion
- 2 slam champion and 5 slam finalist
- 1 slam champion and 6 slam finalist:

Federer 4
Djokovic 13
Nadal 16

Combined h2h between Sampras, Agassi, Becker, Edberg and Courier: Sampras 18-8, Edberg 11-12, Agassi 9-10, Courier 5-7, Becker 10-15

I think Sampras, Djokovic and Nadal have the highest peak in the Open Era, then Borg, McEnroe, Federer and Becker.

Federer is 24-34 in finals vs fab4, wawrinka and delpo.

finals between the big3:

djokovic 26-16
nadal 24-24
federer 16-26

finals vs murray, wawrinka and del potro:

djokovic 17-10
nadal 5-4
federer 8-8

You don't know where I've been, Lew! You don't know where I've been!!

I want to focus on the most important matches of the biggest rivalries. Let's start with the big3.

The order of most important matches may be:

1) slam finals
2) slam semifinals
3) olympic gold final
4) wtf finals
5) 1000 finals

DJOKOVIC-FEDERER

slam finals: 3-1
slam semifinals: 6-4
olympic gold finals: 0-0
wtf finals: 2-0 (3-0 with 2014 walkover)
1000 finals: 4-3

NADAL-FEDERER

slam finals: 6-3
slam semifinals: 3-0
olympic gold finals: 0-0
wtf finals: 0-1
1000 finals: 7-5

NADAL-DJOKOVIC

slam finals: 4-3
slam semifinals: 3-0
olympic gold finals: 0-0
wtf finals: 0-1
1000 finals: 5-7
Is Federer the weakest GOAT of all time?

Overall score between Lendl, Edberg, Becker and Wilander: Becker 14-8, Lendl 13-12, Edberg 12-15, Wilander 5-9

Combined h2h between Sampras, Agassi, Becker, Edberg and Courier: Sampras 18-8, Edberg 11-12, Agassi 9-10, Courier 5-7, Becker 10-15

Hmm ... In first scenario Becker is better than Edberg while in second Edberg is better than Becker ... Well done champ !!

He’s also 5-6 years older than all of them...

Older or more experienced? Age can be an advantage.

Federer 17-18: 3 slams
Djokovic 17-18: 0 slams
Nadal 15-18: 2 slams

Last five Federer-Nadal matches: 5-0.

Who's the old one?

I think peak Federer is 2011-18 since better players pushed him to the limit.

Indian Wells 18 final: 93 winners, 69 unforced
US Open 09 final: 122 winner , 113 unforced

Nadal also declined and Federer sured up his BH so he matches up better now.

He’s only winning slams at this age because there’s no peak Djokovic around. I do believe he played better in many aspects in 2017 than 2014-2015 but only to the extent I’d give him a better shot at Wimbledon and USO.

Again, it’s really a waste of time engaging someone who’s trying to peddle this kind of abject idiocy:

I think peak Federer is 2011-18

This is a person very deeply emotionally invested in believing that, somehow, 12 > 20. Best to just laugh at him from afar.

In the meantime, all of us should just kick back and enjoy the era of peak Djokovic (July 2016 to present), who is now more experienced than ever. Quite unfortunate for him that everyone else in tennis has gotten so much better so quickly.

Being able to play better doesn't mean playing better.

Federer over30 played better than before, Djokovic could but he doesn't.

Don't get upset, OP. It is still 23:10 on a moral scoreboard.
