"Realistically, it’s over for Novak Djokovic"

@BeatlesFan has been a monumental hater of Novak Djokovic over the years.

She is the very definition of elitist, the core fanbase that Federer represents, everything that Federer stands for is embodied via Beatlesfan

She hates Nole with every fiber of her being, it must pain her to see that Djokovic has emerged ahead of Roger.

Maybe it pains Roger less and Beatles more.... lol

When you dig the old thread after 2017 they were very cocky and confident that Fed can't be surpassed and these people bullied anyone who didn't agree with them. Now, they accuse others of being fanatics lol. Djokovic was declared done after 2017 , Nadal was laughed off.

Who cares about who posted it? I mean the actual writer. They put it out there.

2013-2016 Djokovic won 7 slams. Not even Nole fans thought 2018-2021 Djokovic would win 8 slams.
I never thought for a 2nd that Djokovic was done back in 2017. Like never. Even after he came back from the ashes and won 2018 Wimbledon, I knew he was winning at least 4 more. People just wanted to bury him way too prematurely when he wasn't even close to done.

I think Djokovic will now win at least 4 more before he retires. After that I have no idea. 4 more for me seems like a lock. The movement is still there, the serve, the return, the hunger. I think 4 more is a lock at this point.

There was no decline in his game though. It was a mixture of personal problems and then an elbow injury. It was only a matter of time before he returned to win slams.

But personally I never thought he would win a second RG.

Lol unfortunately I knew Imhotep was nowhere close to done
I seem to recall Nadal being interviewed and asked about Novak some time after RG18 but before Wimby and the reporter implying Novak was done for. And Nadal said something like no one who knew anything about tennis thought he was done for

The combination of injury and Pepe, I was certain he just doesn't care about getting back to the top anymore.

It's honestly a pretty good piece of history that all 3 had to go through serious struggles before bouncing back to win more majors.

I've always been a Djokovic-doubter, always predicting he won't win any more slams. I know there are others like me, but remember: One day, we will be right. A sporting career is a finite thing

It was always possible that there would be another Nadal injury during clay and that he would take advantage.

Why some Fed fans pretend to be Nole fans lmao. anyone who thought Djokovic was done knew nothing about tennis. there were many reason to think he would have been back to his winning way.

1-Fed was doing extremely well in his 30s so there was no reason to doubt Djokovic would have not emulated or even done better than him

2- Djokovic problems was not decline but injury and loss of focus , that's different than declining , later is difficult to fix.

3- Djokovic was capable of having multi slam year , so it just need a year of 3 slams and one year of 2 slams and he was back on track in slam chase.

The article states: "Realistically, it's over for Novak Djokovic". Few simply didn't know at the time that men's tennis wasn't in real time. Federer/Nadal/Djokovic would go on to win 16 of the next 18 slams after this article was posted. How realistic is that?

So this idiot just posted something painfully obvious and tried to pass it off as if he was intelligent? "Realistically the Earth won't get hit by an asteroid" Yeah no ****. Is this the level journalism has sunk to these days?

Certainly 1 slam at Roland Garros 2021
Probably the closed roof also didn't help his chances. The ball wasn't flying high up off the bounce the way he normally liked it. It probably felt like Madrid conditions for him where he's very beatable.

"Realistically, it's over for Novak Djokovic" - Procceeds to double his slam tally ever since and even THAT might not be the end still, who the heck knows, he may as well have one or two more slams left in him even by now...
