Backspin to the Future
Rookie
I`ve just bagged this slightly distressed Bussey racket which is currently in the post to me.
I`m guessing the racket maybe circa 1920`s or later.
The racket model is " Double Main 2".
I`ve found a few other examples of "Double Main" series rackets -the highest number of the series (? ) being a 5 so far .
I don`t know if the rackets formed a part of a line that was considered upgraded over time or whether it was a contemporary series with different attributes or price points etc.
I think I read that the double mainstring idea was originally patented by Slazanger but I may be wrong.
If any one has any info either on my model or the Double Main series I be grateful to see it.
