Really full set of reels?

How do you really know for sure that a reel (Luxilon ALU Rough 16L 220m/726ft, in my case) is really that stated length? I purchased from the big auction site and the reel seemed full enough but this potential problem would be the case if buying from elsewhere like Tennis Ware House, Hola Birds, etc.

Other than trusting seller, is it possible to weigh the reel on a digital scale to see if like 1 or 2 sets is missing or not base of the weight of 1 or 2 sets? How come these brand new reels don't come with some type of seal like on DVD-R or CR-R?

I've also thought about this, but always forget to post it.

I was thinking about this when I was going to buy a reel of Cyberflash in TW. The reel (in the picture) did not look like 726 ft of strings. When I got the reel, I compared it with my other reels (660 ft). The plastic's width covering the string looked like the same size. The strings looks like its the same amount as the other reels (hard to tell though). The only difference I saw was that it was neatly coiled into the packaging.

A reel is like a pound or so. A reel cannot be sealed because you have to take out the string somehow!
By sealed, I simply mean a plastic film like when you buy a brand new racket with plastic still on the grip or any kind of medicine bottle where you have to peel away the plastic covering before using.

If you are buying from Tennis Warehouse, you can be rest assured that the reel is indeed full. Just don't buy from that crappy auction site.

What's interesting about this post is that CyberPower reels are listed on TW as 660ft. It would be strange if they made reels of different length for parallel products.

Further adding to the mystery, Cyberflash AND Cyberpower reels on another site (that is a major distributor of Topspin strings) are listed as 726'.

Most likely, the Cyberpower listing on TW is wrong, but your post reminded me of that.
