Norrie in the final of challenger again. He is proving that he is definitely top 100 contender. But can he break into top 80 ? and how will he perform against top 50 guys like Donald Young ? it also took Young a long time to become consistent top 50 player.

Joe Salisbury U of Memphis and Bryden Klein def. Mikelis Lebietis Tennessee and Dennis Kudla for the Stockton Challenger doubles title. Salisbury has to be getting close to top 100 ATP doubles. David O'Hare University of Memphis around 130 ATP doubles.

Fawcett loses in 2nd round of Fairfield qualies, I suspect food poisoning.

Fawcett had a leg injury that he re-aggreavated in previous challenger event. He isn't 100 % at the moment. But Axel Geller is in the main draw, and he is favored to win the whole thing. Di Wu, which he almost beat in the final is already beating guys like Chardy, a great pro in 1000 event. Axel could be doing the same thing.

There was no injury. You claim every time he loses (or any Stanford player for that matter) it's due to injury, it's not. Smart players just don't continue to play when they are injured enough to impact their play. Fawcett stayed on and played, and lost, in the 1st round of doubles in Fairfield, why would he do so if he was so injured? The answer is he wouldn't. The bottom line is Fawcett has lost in the qualies of 2 tournaments in back to back weeks to teenagers--he just isn't that good. No excuses...

Axel Geller goes down to Fanslow. I am not sure what happened here. Di Wu has been successful right away in the ATP tour whom Axel almost beat in the final of US open. So this is bit puzzling.

Mackie McDonald will have another chance to play Sandgren in Fairfield Challenger today. He has an 0-5 record against Sandgren (four of which is in 2017).

College story of the tournament belongs with UCLA (singles) and Memphis (doubles) winners.

According to the notation at the bottom of the official draw he withdrew from the tournament with a left leg injury. It's only the present and past Stanford players who are apparently not smart enough and continue to play when they are 'injured'.

Trees are Tough players. Injuries are not a limiting factor on how often you play.

Way to Bradley Klahn. just dominated Ed Corrie, very tough player out of TCU. Bradley looks like he is back and will clime to top 50 very soon.
