At his height it’s going to be very tough to break the top 100 and stay there consistently.

Probably because there is a difference between tough and impossible. It is tough to be great today at a certain height, but no one said it was impossible.

It’s possible but I think Goffin is more the exception than the norm.

I count 9 of the top 50 or 18% are under the height of 6’. The numbers don’t favor the shorter guys.

Altamirano beats Gomez to take the Long Beach futures final! :)

He and lebedev lose in the dubs final to the top seeded team though. :(

    Great week for Collin nevertheless!

Clearly if you are over 6’ tall and have the talent, skills and are willing to do the hard work necessary to be a top tennis player, your chances of breaking into the top 50 are higher than if you are shorter than 6’.

That’s great! He is still listed on the UVA roster as a senior so I assumed he was still playing for the team this year.

I missed yesterday’s singles final, but I was surprised when he was very composed during his semifinal matches. In years past, he would lose his temper often. I hope he does well!

Great win for mackie. It’s still a long way to breaking into the top 20 though. Hope he makes it to the top.

Be interesting to see how Mac fares against Dimitrov, I would be shocked if he gets a set but hopefully he surprises me.
