Has anyone else had complaints about the durability of nike clothes? I have the blue/volt rafa shirt from last year, probably washed 4-5 times and it is basically falling apart. On the other hand adidas stuff I bought last year and beyond has 0 wear. The Nike clothes seem to be getting more expensive but less durable.

Yeah I'm pretty much done with Nike. The only tennis items I still buy from them are the cotton/Dri-Fit TENNIS swoosh tees and clearance 2k12s. I'm not going to pay above-average prices for below-average products.

Picture? Falling apart? One data point isn't really showing a trend. Could have gotten wrapped around the center shaft of the machine.

My only problem with Nike clothes are the wrinkles if you don't get them out right away - some require a cold iron - not really a big deal.

I think its just the line... the rafa blue glow/volt and black/volt line for US open 2012 is made of different material than the usual crews... I was looking forward to getting the same blue/volt one but just feeling the material reminds me of cheap running tees... not worth spending $65 on, or even $50.
on the other hand, rafa's neptune blue crew from IW has been holding up really well after a lot of washes. its one of my fav crews so I wear it a lot but it still looks pretty much brand new

If the shirt less than 2 yrs old and is falling apart, send it back to Nike and they will assess it and most likely give you a voucher for the retail price. I just did this for my favorite RF shirt that got a pull in the fabric after 2 uses.

I only had troubles some month ago with the stripes of the RF purple 2010 polo (see my avatar). I wore/washed it maybe 5 or 6 times only since I have it (early 2011), and the stripes were tearing apart. I tried to "glue" them : It worked but some glue stains are visible now.

Didn't have trouble with other RF clothes til now, though, but I have many of them and always rotate, so a specific top has been worn 2 or 3 times only (except for the purple which I've bought first and used more, as I said above). Not enough to know if the quality is crap or not after several wash.

Everything I have seems to be holding up just fine. I usually wash gentle cycle and air dry. I think in all my years buying Nike clothes, the only issues I have are swooshes melting on some of the used clothes I bought from the 2006-2007 lines.

I had the White polo with blue lines on the side (Like Fed's white/green crew from the AO 2006) and the swoosh went crazy. I had dark blue spots all over the place. Somehow it got sticky and transfered its color all over the shirt. A mess! It got thrown out, obviously.

Cheers!

Have heard others complain about their stuff falling apart too, unfortunately too many keep paying top dollar for this crap, so they probably won't do much about it. Hopefully you can get some money back.

I wear my white shirt that Federer should've used in his day session at AO last year almost every week on mondays, and the shirt is the same way that when I bought it.

Agreed that 1 shirt isn't indicative of a trend of bad quality stuff, but a $40 dollar shirt should last longer than 3 months. All the stitching is coming apart.
