Record for consecutive points won

Legend
Emerson had that 27-point streak against Rosewall but he had another long one, this time against Pancho Gonzalez. And it was in the same place -- Hollywood, Florida, on clay.

He beat Gorgo 6-3, 6-2, 6-0 in the 1970 Tennis Champions Classic, without dropping his serve (11 service games).

Fort Lauderdale News (Feb. 16):

Emerson, however, did little wrong. In the crushing final set in the best of five, he had Gonzales down four sets [sic] to love, and Gonzales had not nicked Emerson for so much as a single point.

If that means 4 love games to start the third set, then Emmo's streak here was at least 17 points.

Emerson was a true great who would probably have won around 4 Open Era majors. No surprise that he was capable of such a feat.
Rosewall who was two years older than Emerson, won 4 open era slams, Emerson won 0. In the 71 AO, Rosewall who was 36 beat Emerson in straight sets and went on to win the tournament without losing a set. In that AO just about all top players, including Laver, Newcombe Ashe and others competed. Obviously, Ken was way off form in that Hollywood final or Emerson played out of his mind. Emerson was an all time great player but not in the same league as Rosewall, Laver and several obvious others.

Yes, fair comment.

Ostapenko had 17 straight vs Raducanu in Stuttgart
Well, it seems that USO final between Raducanu and Fernandez was a fluke, as both have accomplished practically nothing since. Ferandez, I am afraid, is just too small to be a slam champion, or top ten player.
