Recovering from knee surgery, need shoe suggestions?

I am recovering from tearing my meniscus and having surgery. It has been close to 10 weeks so I am starting to play tennis harder now and will definitely be playing a lot this summer.

I really want a shoe that can absorb shock good as that is the biggest problem with my recovering knee, just the brute shock of landing everytime. I don't expect these shoes to take the pain away, but I know certain shoes have been cushioning in them.

Right now I am using BFII's and really dislike them. Just don't fit nice. I have a pretty normal foot, medium arch, and medium width foot. I want nice forefoot cushioning. I really like the Diadora speedzone pros, but really don't know much about them. Durability isn't a big deal as these will be my summer tennis shoes.

The Prince QT Scream was a cushy shoe for me, far more so than any adidas or Nike I've worn.

You might try something I did while nursing a broken toe last summer: buy up a half size, put in two Dr. Scholl's gel insoles, and wear an extra sock.

The speedzone pros are not good for cushioning. They are lightweight high performance shoes. These type of shoes are not usually top notch in cushioning. In fact I am sure they would at best equal or more likely worse than your BF IIs in the comfort department.

I would try the MDPs. they uniformally get high marks for comfort and cushioning.

MDP's look pretty good, only thing I am not so hot on is the weight. I would prefer something a little lighter, but I don't know if I will find a high cushion, light shoe.
