For a while, I have played with several poly strings replacing them more frequently than necessary. Briefly describing my journey with one-line comments:
  • Luxilon
    • ALU power 1.25: Probably best string either for professional or someone rich.
    • ALU Power 1.25 Rough: Similar impression with ALU, but would be a good string for an intermediate players if you like the coiled ones.
    • 4G 1.25: Very good string but somehow I never restring it again.
  • Volkl
    • Cyclone 1.20: Love the price. It is kind of a bread and butter string that can fit for various racquets.
    • Cyclone tour: Never experienced yet, but many players seems preferring Cyclone over the tour version.
  • Yonex
    • Poly Tour Pro 1.20: Great string in every perspect, but I keep feeling it is somewhat sluggish.
    • Poly Tour Fire 1.20: Durable string, but touch feeling is not as good as YPTP, possibly generating some whistle sounds.
  • Y-tex
    • Quadro Twist 1.25: This is the string that convinced me the facts that I don't like coiled string, and I much prefer 1.20 than 1.25.
  • Solinco
    • Tour Bite 1.20: Show sharp and crisp feeling, but quite stiff.
    • Hyper-G 1.20: So far the best, but I hate the color!
Generally, my style/preferences are:
  • Shots: Mostly baseline shots and powerful service but not a big banger.
  • Style: Lots of top spin, very little slice.
  • Tension preference: 46-52 lbs
  • Type preference: Poly, Uncoiled, 1.20
  • Other: Prefer red/orange colored strings due to the match with my racquet.
What kinds of poly strings have both good touch/feeling and some degree of crisp sharpness? Can you recommend something similar to Hyper-G 1.20 but with red/orange colors?

Kirschbaum and Signum Pro sell round red/orange colored polys. However, none would react like your Hyper G, which is square. It's the shape that grabs the ball as well as snap back. You could try SP Hextreme.

Your problem is you like a thin gauge string which means shorter life due to stretching. Polys are going to die no matter what you do. If they last 16 hours, it is exceptional. 8 hours or less is the norm. You could go thicker gauge or lower tension, but the feel will not be the same.

it seems you may favor the feel of solinco strings
tour bite 1.20 has a lower dynamic that hyper g 1.20 ..and both are square edge strings..but you stated the tour bite felt stiffer.. you can always lower the tension a bit
weiss canon ulra cable is a option...1.23 square edge...

colors, i cant help you there...
performance first, color last...

I haven't tried Hyper-G 1.20 before but here are some red shaped polys that could work:
Volkl V-Square 1.20 - not as good tension maintenance wise but same square shape
Genesis Hexonic 2.0 1.18 or 1.23
MSV Focus Hex Soft 1.20 - on paper (TWU) the closest to Hyper-G 1.20
