Nalby will be in Top 32 seeds..Relief for Top players who cannot face him in first round now.. The earliest he can face them is 3rd round..

How well do u guys think Nalby can do at USO...
maybe if he faces someone other than Top 4 seeds, he could well reach QTF / SF and chance at the later stages..Discuss his chances and who are the others who will be dark horse to pull off major upset..

Gasquet, Simon are the unseeded dangers along with Petzschner

Nalbandian is my darkhorse pick for the USO, and is obviously in other's picks for a good reason: he can play HC tennis. I think if he gets going though, at minimum he will reach the fourth round(which isn't necessarily a bad thing, top 16), but he's obviously capable of reaching the quarters. I don't think he can make the semis without a favorable turn of events in the upsets of bigger players. If he can make the semis it will obviously be huge for him.

I think Hewitt will be seeded too. He is currently 34 but few withdrawals (Tsonga, Delpotro, Cilic) will help him move up?

I watched him in Cincy getting crushed by Djokovic,, also he lost badly to Murray in Toronto.....i don't think he will make it to the 2nd week

Nalbandian is too much up and down for my taste. He could win sets by 6-1 but also loose them.I don`t know how he will compete if the match goes into a 4th and 5th set as his fitness is always a question mark

Glad Cilic is out, hopefully Djokovic follows. 2 most disappointing players on the ATP tour this year

Saw Nalby on the practice courts in Cincy last week without a shirt on...beer gut gone! ...some of the most beautiful, penetrating groundstrokes I have ever seen. His explosion through the strike zone was unbelievable. Could be dangerous at the USO!

Agreed...Djoker should be banned for his lack of heart in Cincy...and to think this guy got to #2 this year...for doing what? The rating system is a joke.

I dont think Nalby will have enough gas in the tank for best of 5 sets.

If he can close out his first 2 matches in straights then he will make second week.

First 4 or 5 set match he will either loose it or the next one.

Im not saying hes outta shape but he just hasnt been back long enough and it will be hard on him.

Everything I see shows Cilic as still being in. As is it looks like the seeding cut-off will be Gilles Simon, a few spots below Hewitt.

This was discussed elsewhere. He's actually done quite a bit.

He's always had great groundstrokes. But, his on court performaces are wildly unpredictable. I don't know if it's injuries, conditioning, waning interest, or what. But, if he can keep focused, he can go as far as he wants.

Nalbandian had multiple match points in the 1st one and had a hip injury in the 2nd one.

lol I was Joking. I don't like Nadal at all. I just know that Cesc Fabregas is a Nalbandian hater because he gave is favourite player Nadal two of the top 3 loses of his career along with Tsonga.

My dream is for Nadal to be smacked in staights by Nalbandian or Murray at the US Open.

Seeds 1-8 play 25-32 in the 3rd round right?

Which means we could potentially see,

Federer/Nadal/Murray vs. Wawrinka, Gonzalez, Hewitt, Nalbandian, Kohlschrieber

The easiest one to play out of 25-32 is definitely Monaco. And then maybe Belluci though he can hit the ball hard, and is rapidly improving. Stepanek is quite tricky too though he is coming off an injury. R32 should be fun.

I am liking the fact that Murray can't draw Fish, Isner, Querrey, or Gulbis in R3:) I also like it that he can't draw Arod or Cilic in R4.

Maybe a good news, but he could challenge one of the top 8 seeds in the
3rd round. And upset one of those.... He beaten Soderling a couple of weeks ago in Toronto so...
