Replace Zverev and Medvedev with Fedal in the semis. Do Djokovic's chances increase, decrease or stay the same for CYGS?

Djokovic's path to the potential CYGS and 21 is likely Zverev and Medvedev, likely because FAA may pull off the upset, and it is considered pretty tough, as they are the most in form players of the HC summer. If these two were replaced by Fedal, what do you think of Djokovic's chances at it stands? In this instance all are healthy, but in their 2021 forms.

And yes, you can make a different case for which of the two he would play first in the semi and which would be waiting in the final.
Stay the same at 100%

Well, Novak is not winning if he met Nadal and Fed in semis and finals.

That's because Nadal would've taken his legs out with a 5 setter gruelling match (if they meet in semis). Nadal also holds a slight edge at the US Open. If he had met Federer in the semis, then he may not be physically exhausted but mentally because there's another gruelling encounter with Rafa in the final and the pressure of CYGS.
Ok maybe if we’re talking 2012 Nadal and Federer?

Fed legitimately hasn’t been healthy since 2019 and Nadal hasn’t played at a good level on HC since then either.

Did you not see the AO QF? Nadal was gassed vs. freaking Tsitsipas, I don’t think he’s taking Djokovic’s legs lol. 2019 USO Nadal has a good chance but that Nadal is far far away from what he currently is, sad to say.

The thing is that injuries just can’t be wiped away magically when you’re 35 or 40 years old. They are as much of an undeniable factor as talent is, when you are that old.

10 years ago, they would have decreased. Today, they would have increased even if Fedal were healthy.
Considering that djokovic has to save 2 MPs against Fed 2 years ago when he was healthy.

Nadal too had better results against Djokovic in USO during his prime.

his chances would dramatically increase since he knows their game inside out and deep inside Novak knows they both cannot beat them at this stage.

With a player like Zverev , it's always a wildcard. Plus they have fresh young legs which can run better with better reflexes.
As much as I know peak Level Fed is a bigger problem for djokovic. Rember 2010-11 when djoker was at his brutal best but still had 2 save 2 MPs against Federer.

Healthy Fedal a bigger headache than zverev.

We have seen how mentally weak zverev and Medvedev are in this years AO. Infact Med gave up after getting broken in 2nd set

That was Djokovic playing the worst Slam final that he actually won and at Federer's best Slam. The USO has been elusive to Federer for a long time now.

I just said 10 years ago his chances would have decreased, which was when Nadal was in his prime.

Worst slam....Lol did he had an hypothetical injury. Usually when someone gets outplayed he looks like worst unless there is an prior injury.

If Djokovic played the level he was capable of that day, we all know that match would have went differently. There's no need to pretend otherwise. No one knows the reason he was so "off" but we all know that he was.

A 33 year old Rafa rather easily dismissed Med at 2019 U.S. Final. A 34 year old Fed would have beaten 2021 Zed and Med.

It is important that Djoker make a statement here and defeat Zed and Med.

Djoker is representing the Big Three against Next Gen. He is playing for all of us. Everyone needs to support Djoker.
2019 US final was not *easy*. Nadal got pushed *hard* and it was an epic victory where it seemed like Medvedev was going to win.

What happened to Tsitsipas in the next match? Nadal gassed or not gives his 100% every match. Just his presence is enough to give opponents sleepless nights. He may not win against Novak but he would've done enough damage to make Novak lose the finals. We're not talking about a hobbling Nadal playing Djokovic in the semis, are we? A hobbling Nadal took a lot out of Novak at the French Open. We are talking about a healthy Nadal here.

There are no ifs and buts....we consider that as best which the player shows on that given day.

Anyone can pretend that if Federer didn't committed 14 UFE in the 3 breakers or hadn't choked on MPs he would have won. But in reality those excuses doesn't work.

Djokovics level was similar to 2014 level and slightly lower compared to 2015 And he played pretty much better than his 2021 wimbledon level.

What are you on about? Do you actually believe a healthy 40 year old Federer would be a bigger challenge than two mid 20 year olds who have won the most recent hardcourt events?

Similar to 2014 and slightly below 2015? You can log off now.

Do you have a brain fade ????
Read the question again....here iam mentioning about best version of Fedal.

If you still think Zverev who is 0-13 against top 10 in slams as a bigger threat then Fedal.

Then R.I.P your thought process

The thread specifically asked about 2021 versions of Fedal if they were healthy not their best versions.

If zverev can take Djokovic to 5, I have no reason to believe that fedal would beat him.
So I change my previous Statement. 2015 Roger & 2019 Nadal would be favoured over this Novak.
And if healthy and fit 2021 versions would be too (roger on Wimbledon & Nadal at french open and United States open)

I'd say they decrease, because Fedal in slam SF-reaching form are more dangerous than the nextgen equivalents.

Lol... So, you are mentioning best versions of Fedal, and in next sentence you include as argument whole Zedd slam career, ignoring the fact Novak played Zeds best ever version... Hypocrisy is other name for most of Fed army nowadays... :D
