Replacement for Wilson Pro Staff 97 (2014)

Hi! I recently broke both my Wilson 97 Pro Staff ~2014 model (the ones before they put countervail in them), and am looking for something similar.

I tried the newer PS97 rackets but I don't like the way the countervail changed the way they feel. I've also tried the new Wilson Blades, but it feels quite muted as well and I don't like that. I'm looking for something that's similar to the old Pro Staff 97 rackets.

I currently play club at a university and would rate myself around 4.0-4.5 if that helps. I'm open to any suggestions and brands!

When you say the "new" Blades I'm guessing you mean the v7's and not the Countervail ones?
Also it's if you wait a little bit you can give the new PS97 a try - they removed the CV, so hopefully it'll feel more similar to the older version.
Personally I haven't tried them, but I've seen a lot of excellent feedback for the Yonex Vcore Pro 97 - and the 310 is fairly close to the PS97 in specs.

I think I tried the 2018 or 2019 Blade V7s. It was what some guy at a store recommended when I complained about the countervail in the new PS97s.

I'm guessing he pointed you toward the V7's, then (black/green/grey pj?). A lot of folks here love the V7 and find it a major improvement over the CV's, which posters mostly just trash on. Personally I think the CV's are great, and so far the V7 isn't wowing me much. Regardless - as far as Wilson offerings go, I would wait and try the new PS97. I would definitely check out Yonex too, though.

Try Yonex VCORE 98, Technifiber Tfight 315. Might feel firmer though.
And v13 Pro Staff 97 of course.
